Liverpool are awful

It was on BT Showcase which is a Freeview channel.

 

They still by law (I think) have to show one live game on free to air in these competitions a week shown on Showcase, so they often obviously pick a not very attractive one - shat out last night like.

 

Terrestrial channels were in negotiations to win back the rights to show a live game like the old days because apparently viewing figures have nose-dived since live matches went to BT/Sky, I guess people aren't as arsed about watching "the Champions League product" as they thought. However I saw Lineker crowing on Twitter about BT retaining the rights the other day, so perhaps ITV lost. Sorry Clive.

Ah, i didn't know that. So i would have found it if id have been arsed enough to look haha... Probably sums up my interest in football these days.

BT have won the sole rights going forward until 2021. There will be no more ITV highlights after next season.

 

Also came across this:

Heard that as I was driving . Went on for ages and I'm sure Sutton was pissed. Neither of them came out of it with any credibility. Both talking over each other.
