Great thread. Without wishing to pee on anyones chips,i feel we just don't score enough goals to be serious contenders.

Since Lenny came we've scored 15 goals in 11 games, the mighty Bournemouth have scored 34 in 11 games.

At least we've stopped conceding though and  if Lenny can get a decent striker in the window then we will challenge.

Bournemouth are a team, for the majority of the season, playing with confidence and self belief. As are Derby and Ipswich. The worm has turned with us, it seems. Small steps, BB.

It's a fair point and it makes you wonder what he would have achieved with the players who left before he arrived. 

 

Lennon has been on a few TV/radio programmes since he became our manager, so he obviously wants to maintain a high profile now that he's back in management. It's a concern that he may eventually feel he can only take us so far with the resources at his disposal and then decide to do a Pulis.

I'm not sure he's got the resources to win promotion this season but i think he'll expect to backed in the summer if he's done a decent job. He strikes me as someone who doesn't intend hanging around in the Championship, building a team over the next few seasons.

Problem might be that we do really well (imo that would be top ten) & Lennon gets poached in the summer , after all he is top drawer.

In any case we were nailed on for relegation so he has already reversed the downward spiral.

Grateful for that even if it doesn't pan out to the optimum.
