14 points behind 6th spot before yesterday's game. Only 13 now and got play Watford at home soon. My cups half full again

Losing 5 potential points against Rotherham and wolves have blown away any hopes

Another season in this shit league beckons

Performances like Rotherham and yesterday result suggest different.

Mid table would be a success for Lennon, dont think weve played any of the top five away from home yet.

If can get cavies back in with ALF up top anytime soon I reckon will definitely put another decent run together.

Mind you 2 defeats 14 isn't too shabby.

39 from 18 needed now looking at 2.16 a game. That's 100 point a season form. Can't see us winning any away game in February tbh

Maybe forest and their awful manager actually

According to Marc Iles, 2 years ago we had the same number of points as we do now, but from 29 rather than 28 games...and we missed out on goal difference. As discussed before though, that was a particularly low total required - 68 points. I'm the eternal optimist normally but I think one point from these last 2 games, the injuries and the tough away games to come means we'll have to settle for a title charge next season. Oh well.

Never believed in a play-off push this season after the start we had, the change of manager/staff, the below-average squad NL inherited, the on & off field problems.

Repairing club/fans relationship, getting optimism back, getting the best out of what NL inherited, squad re-building within club's imposed constraints .......... And mid-table finish. Far more than we could have expected under DF. So far, so good.

I'm dreaming of Wemberlee

More than happy with what Neil Lennon has achieved so far even without troubling the play offs. Hard to believe we were below Blackpool when he took over, thanks Dougie. There were flashes yesterday of us becoming a proper team, Alf looks the business, Young Zac looks like he could be the new Mark Davies (a more robust version hopefully). Vela is another exciting prospect and Lenny/Mjallby and Parker are a breath of fresh air. Then Pratley (after Bogdan,Clayton etc) gets injured and its one step back but enjoying going the match and proud of the club again.

Pretty much where I'm at

Very hopeful of next year

Correct, it's all about building for next season, he'll have plenty enough time to see who he does or doesn't want to keep, i suspect we might see quite a few coming and goings over the summer

I think the chance has all but gone after collecting 1 point from 6 what is really frustrating is that if we could have spent a million or 2 at the begining of the Window we would have won those 2 games and picked up a hell of a lot more points in January same goes for the loan window that closed pre xmas just 1 excellent loanee could have mad a difference the Huddersfield game away was a game we could have easily won with just a bit more strength in depth I really think we have once again missed a real opportunity of promotion. Any how premier leagues rubbish so not arsed.

We were 1 minute away from being 12th in the table. We are in a group of half a dozen on 34 points. Thats mid table for me. A bit of application and getting the new signings in and on and we'll be reet.

We haven't got a million or two

Mid-table would be a superb finish considering the start we had. No disappointment whatsoever from me.

We haven't got a million or two

We haven't but Eddie has for me he is cutting his nose off to spite his face.

Even if he wanted to give it to us, are we allowed to spend it - with FFP and all that?

also we know that spending a couple of million quid wouldnt have guaranteed us the victories

There's always a way around FFP and were not talking stupid money here. And yes your right it doesn't guarantee wins but it does improve your chances. Any how Eddies decided he's not going to take a gamble so that's that.

I can't blame him, he's not THAT wealthy. People moan about putting £26 in.

It's eddies money so it's his call no issue there just feel with a bit more financial backing we could have reached the play offs.

If we finish the season in the vein of form we have been in since Lennon took over I am more than happy. Build for next season and I am confident of success next season.

I'd settle for 12th.

I'd settle for 12th.

Me too!
