jonseddon94
I had a season ticket for three years I think, two in the prem and one in the championship. Got bored of the 600 mile trip every weekend so only do away games now. Just annoying that my loyalty points gets you nowhere when it comes to games like this. tomski
Keep your chin up Dan. Fwiw I would be gutted if I didn't get a ticket and understand your plight totally mate. Hopefully something comes about Thurs or a spare knocking. At the same time you cant knock s/t holders as that is the known criteria and only ever an issue every blue moon. Unfortunately unless a super fan system is set up it will always be hard to gauge.
bwfcfan5
every single one of us knows someone who has a ticket without having a season ticket so don't give me that bollocks. I'm one of them. I agree. That is a slightly different issue though. Priority to season ticket holders is fine. But letting each one buy multiple tickets needs to be rethought. BOWTUN BAKED
Dan I think everyone should have sympathy with your plight I certainly do It's just hard though to equate who does what to deserve tickets...the club isn't realistically going to work out how hard it was for folk to get to games. If we had regular ticket shortages I would advocate them looking into it more deeply. As we don't, they won't. The one thing tI can say for certainty is that folk that are pissed off shouldn't stop going to away games due to it. You are cutting your nose off despite your face. Sheff Weds on Saturday is an ace away day....don't miss it as it will be you that misses out This was discussed at the weekend. We thought it would be easy for the club to determine a point system for allocations to big away demands like this. At the moment they have previous booking references, season ticket holders details, members details, etc. A week doesn't go by that I don't get an e-mail or text off the club, I wouldn't be surprised if they had my inside leg measurement!! There's already a scheme that gives you a return on your spending with your Season Ticket, so I can't see it being too difficult to adapt that. The facts are it's a mine field, generally though, as a rule those who really go a lot home or away seem to get tickets eventually. If I was someone at the club though, I would seriously be looking at our relationship with Ticketmaster though. I've had more than one problem with them over the years & avoid using them at all costs, I can't be the only one?

SoberDan
Not a Season Ticket holder, asked a few I knew but they are going to the game and made the mistake of presuming that the 1 ticket to a client reference applies. I'm not going to go any further into who does and doesn't deserve a ticket, but given I buy all my tickets online they can see I have been to every away game this season, it is trackable but season ticket holders will always come first. On a different note it blatantly isn't the clubs fault I live where I do, but I have tried and failed for 6 months to get a finance job in the North West, applied for 300 in the first half of last year , living here is not a choice unless I don't want to work in finance. End of the day I don't live on the North West so I'm not going to be able to get a job up there and I'm not going to be able to get any use out of a season ticket. So to sum up Horwich, the reason I didn't get a ticket for Liverpool away is because I'm not a season ticket holder.

Folk buying tickets for friends True, as I say though, it's a mine field. Thing with buying them for friends though, when phoning up the club you get a pre recorded message saying 'you need to supply all names & addresses' for those tickets. Problem being though, I've never been asked for those details, ever! Any system of allocation will have it's flaws, however, the current system could be improved. Social demographics & football have moved on, things have changed, so should the basic system of ST holders, members, open sale. You just have to look on here how many don't live or work in Bolton anymore but still travel to lots of games home & away. How many that also don't originate from Bolton, though have chosen BWFC as their club through Parentage, friends or other reasons. It's times like these that the current system negates these fans & if BWFC want to grow their fan base it needs looking at. For those that live in London, as an example, without them turning up to the likes of Fulham, Charlton, Norwich etc midweek, the poor followings would be poorer. Do we want to alienate the 12th man? I'd hope not. Again, mine field.

To ve fair if you have applied for 300 in the NW there must be a fair few up there too.

gonzo
So if we had an away game points system would distances travelled become a factor? Anything above 200 round mile trip based on where you live and you score bonus points? Like air miles if you will. Bolty would only need to go Ipswich away and he'd be sure of a ticket for any game ever!
Ani
The new found away support will disappear again, how many did we take to Leeds again under Freedman this season(I was there), did many take a day of work to go to Norwich on A Friday night(I did, as it is 4 hours on the train from where I work). I have a huge amount of respect for season ticket holders who go to away games even semi regularly, but I don't think it's on that Season ticket holders who may not have gone to an away games since Wembley or only go to Wigan & Blackburn get priority. Again though it comes down to money and a season ticket holder is always going to be worth more than somebody who goes literally everywhere away from home. Season ticket holders are as you say worth more to the club and that is why they get priority. It is pretty straight forward. The club does need to look at people buy a full price ticket with a concession ticket. I have two kids tickets , one for Junior and another so he can bring a mate and fuck off to mcdonalds when i go to the pub (for one pint, since i drive every week thanks to wiggum !!) My dad has an oap ticket, my nephew a kids ticket, so I am the only full price one but we could get 5 adults, it seems unfair that if tickets are short I can transfer the tickets to anyone pretty clear it aint the season ticket holder. It must be difficult though as clubs have different cut off points for junior, young adult etc etc. As it is fir Liverpool we are 'juniored up' with Yorkshire whites junior division mobbing up big style. had not seen carlos and casinos post before posting this btw. Traf
I think it's a bit premature to start panicking, let the club sort the Ticketmaster mess out and reallocate the tickets properly. Garrp
I don't think there's anyone who is disputing that season ticket holders shouldn't have first chance. The problem is after that its any man for himself. So someone who has done every away game is in the same queue as someone who hasn't been for five years but fancies going to Anfield. Sunday - Season ticket holders with x number of away tickets. monday - season ticket holders tuesday - x number of away games wed - anyone else strictly one per season ticket. it really isn't that difficult. il set it up on excel for them ffs. if away games mean nothing in terms of future tickets then let us know and I will buy a season ticket and do a few home games instead.
