May 1, 201511 yr Have been to Grand Markadi in Hurghada for last two years, this year we are considering Sham el sheikh for a change. Can anyone (Traf?) recommend any reasonably good hotels. No flea pits but can't afford any 5 or 6 star spas either. Thinking of going mid to late June.

May 1, 201511 yr Cheers. Any do's / must see ? don't piss in the streets me and a mate did, well, down a back street and we thought we were out of view 4 of us ended up in the back of a police van for an hour and paid £10 fine each to get out mate thought he had bribed them, but as they gave us an arrest slip am presuming it was all official such behaviour does not go unnoticed http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8185159.stm
May 5, 201511 yr Anyone been on the island Dugi Otok? Get a cheap Ryanair flight to Zadar by any chance?
May 6, 201511 yr Get a cheap Ryanair flight to Zadar by any chance? Yes. Seafront accommodation through Airbnb. Was fuckin' beltin'! Top, top 3 nights. Went to Dugi Otok on a local boat yesterday, hired mountain bikes and cycled through the national park past lakes, forests, etc. Favour Jerry the Berry today though! Day before we took the local bus to Plitvice National Park. Probably the most beautiful place on the planet. Managed an all dayer on the Sunday. Highly recommend it to all who want a bit of old town culture, national parks and decent cafe bar society. Would also be suitable for families IMO. £2 a pint and less.
May 6, 201511 yr Have you got the link for the Air BNB apartment? Sounds good. Always a place i have wanted to go. I would have to ask the owner to burn the bed sheets before i booked i presume?
May 7, 201511 yr Have you got the link for the Air BNB apartment? Sounds good. Always a place i have wanted to go. I would have to ask the owner to burn the bed sheets before i booked i presume? She said you can contact her directly - Squidgy is, and getting a discount as she'll not have to pay the Airbnb commission. If you are interested, will get her details for you. https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/3515697 Edited May 7, 201511 yr by Smiley

May 7, 201511 yr Has anyone used Air BnB in New York? Heard there's a bit of politics/resistance from neighbours but looks a lot cheaper than hotels.
May 7, 201511 yr Has anyone used Air BnB in New York? Heard there's a bit of politics/resistance from neighbours but looks a lot cheaper than hotels. I am pretty sure it is illegal in NYC for some reason, not sure id that is true though. I know there have been a lot of cases where people turn up to find their luxury apartment is actually a fishmongers if it exists at all.
May 7, 201511 yr We are off to Zante at the beginning of August for 10 days (shit fan). The enemy has booked it but I will let you know what I've done wrong when we have been.

May 8, 201511 yr Tel-Aviv is one of the hip places atm (or was) - Easyjet do flights from Manchester cheap enough if you look on calendar view. 'The Holy Land' was bigged up to me by an 80 year old Barbadian bloke t'other week, so something for all ages perhaps?
May 9, 201511 yr Just booked last week of July off, gonna book a last min, couple of days before going, anyone recommend site/travel agency apart form the usual? A1 travel is good for last minute bookings, they sort of tailor make bookings, making it cheaper than the big boys.
May 9, 201511 yr What, you actually want to leave Horwich? I thought it had it all? Locals still need an escape from all the tourists.
May 9, 201511 yr What, you actually want to leave Horwich? I thought it had it all? Now we have a Tory MP, you might be right.
