It's dead.

A mate of mine was going to the same hotel in 2 week. They have to go in Thompsons now and pick another destination. He reckons he was taking a Broomhandle Mouser.

That is cheap, who's that with? I'm sure you'd be OK travelling to a place like Tunisia, but it isn't for me at this moment in time. I think we'll be sticking to predominantly christian/catholic countries for quite a while.

If I could get time away, I'd be all over that like pablo on a fatty.

They've flooded the place with armed guards now

The most dangerous part of going to Tunisia now is the wacky races junction of M61 & M60 on the way to the airport

Yeah, heard that on the radio earlier, it will be just like paradise again.

Any trips to particularly recommend that they run?

We did the same recently

If it's the standard lounge in T1 then I wouldn't bother mate, your better off eating and drinking in the terminal bars

The fast track security pass on the other hand was a god send!! I get that every time now

It's the Virgin VIP room,if anyone has used it,as I haven't ,also flying from Gatwick so booked a nice hotel to stay over the night before flight.Definitely gonna do the Havana trip and might hire an old car for the trip!

Virgin will be spot on I'm sure mate

We went past the Ethiad one which looked good

The standard Manchester airport one is a load of shite

I've decided to go to Croatia in September, can you well travelled people tell me which resort I should be looking at and where do I fly to

A mate of mine went to Croatia in the 80s and met a bird who talked him into marrying her

!! They flew back here together to Heathrow and she disappeared in the terminal. He hasn't seen her since that day!!!haha and has since remarried but has never mentioned his Croatian week away. ...

I

New York is right up my avenue. Loving every minute of it so far. Virgin flight across was the best.

Just finished cycling round Central Park. Brunch with Bloody Marys now, then museums this afternoon. Broadway this evening.

Awesome.

Have a feed in Capital Grille at Time Life Building, you won't regret it

I fucking love New York, it is simply brilliant and can be as cheap or expensive as you want it to be within reason.

Zadar. You can get to Plitvice Lakes from here plus plenty of islands. Old town is decent.

Dubrovnik. Great place but wouldn't spend more than a few days here. Can easily get to Mostar in Bosnia and Kotor/Budva in Montenegro. Plus islands like Korcula, Hvar & Mljet

What he said. I'm thinking about going to Umag this time next year.

yes us, we went on it in 2009. i think it has had a refurbishment since then.

it is a mid sized ship cica 2000 passengers and not like the new mega ships.

P & O cater for the british holiday maker, so you may find a few older moaning folk (who only sail P & O !)

they charge in pounds rather than euros or dollars, drink prices are comparable to a city centre bar.(good value)

entertainment on P & O is generally very good, you must try marco pierre white restaurant it's fantastic.

they lay on free shuttle buses from the port to the nearest town , this will save you a small fortune.

genoa is a very old working port, if you have kids , there is a great aquarium , otherwise not much else to do , so you might want to take an excursion somewhere.

livorno, ,easy to get the train to pisa or florence easy to do yourself.

naples , you have to choose from city tour (last option ), pompeii, mount vesuvuis, amalfi coast, capri.each trip is brilliant.

dubrovnik, first  go up the cable car to the old fort , pay to get in , modern history , with very passionate tour guide.then walk the walls.

if this is you first cruise ,please go with an open mind. you will love it.

We're off to Croatia in August. Fly from Manchester to Split just 3 hours or so, then a cab to Baska Voda on the Dalmatian coast. Hotel Croatia, check it out on TripAdvisor. Can't wait!
