We were shagged after our goal. Danns sending off meant the game was unlikely to remain 1-0. If it went to ET we would have got panned, no way our team wouldn't have conceded more with 30 additional minutes.

 

Happy we went out fighting. Like others have said the difference between this team and Freedmans is fucking enormous, not in personnel but in belief and teamwork. Long may it continue!

Plenty of ifs and maybes but if it hadn't been a so called trotter mistake it would have been someone else in normal or extra time if it had come to that. Danns leaving the field pretty much put paid to that.

as an aside, watching abroad I had to put up with Martin Tyler and Dean Ashton on ESPN. Their scouse bias was a fucking embarrassment. I know it's nothing new but Christ, they couldn't have made their disappointment more obvious if they had tried when it looked for a while like 'stevies's' Wembley fairytale ending might be cut short by little old Bolton. I hope they get beat In a similar manner in the final.
