Ok genius, go and re read what I wrote, then tell me in what way am I claiming to be a super fan?   I am still baffled as to how, when the EQUALISER goes in, not the WINNER, people leave in droves.

  • I'm glad they got the second Reckon it would've been four or five if it went to extra time I came away happy and proud Any fcuking amateur tacticians really need to give it a rest, tonight Maybe i

I had arranged a meeting in Manchester Thursday to attend then they fucked up the last train out so moved the meeting back to next week now

Ont telly for me but will be in attendance at Palace

Shitfan.

Are you going to watch Chungy at Palace?

Hand it back in and get a full refund??

may well do if I can get to the ground before wednesday

how many tickets have we sold?

How many have we sold?

How many have we sold?

How many have we sold?

Right then, let's do this scientifically.

As you add your own totals keep the final total.

I'm in +3. That's a total of 4.

Will all the London white super fans be in attendance for this one?

Why would they come to an easy game like this. They do proper fixtures like Fulham on a Tuesday! heeeeeros!!!!!

So 20k. £26 right then IMO

Is Scout Road CHIPPY open yet?

Carlos... On a dogging mission

I'll flash my lights when I'm ready, one at a time.

No chance with the deviants on here...it's gonna be a bukkake job!

It's only right if you think 20k was the max we were ever going to attract, Jules. I think settling for 8k empty seats is a bit pessimistic personally. Pricing clearly affects it - if we'd charged the 15 quid it cost for Wigan we'd have undoubtedly sold more. The even bigger deterrent for floating fans on Weds though is it being on BBC1. The sofa on a sub-zero temperature night match is always going to be a draw for some. I don't know if we were able to charge less though, given what they charged for the game at Anfield, so that may be a moot point.

Yes, £26 is good value compared to a lot of prices we're being asked to pay for run of the mill league games (at home - for non season ticket holders - and away), but that just says what a rip-off football is generally, more than anything else. And explaind why our crowds aren't rising as quickly as I'm sure Lennon would like. People really aren't going to rush to pay an average of 30 quid if they've not already committed to a season ticket. Fuck em - buy a season ticket then, say some, but not everyone can afford or commit to every game.

I think a few more may buy yet though, so we may have 22 or 23k on. I wish we sold the lower tiers first though - looks less shit on telly when they're filled at least.

Gip.

Long term, folk that only turn out against Liverpool if it's £15 are never going to pay £30 to watch us play Rotherham. Fuck them.

20,000 @ £26 > full house @ £15

Who gives a fook about attendances

Geordies.

This. Would never be able to justify league prices if there was a huge discount on this one.

Its not always the cost is the inconvenience

Fancy having the last train out at 9.30 when the game ends about then - what if it went into extra time?

Liverpool was bad having to leave a couple of minutes early then run for a taxi to make the last train back.

I would definitely been there Wednesday but for the shit transport. SHIT TRANSPORT SHIT FAN

That assumes everyone is currently buying a 26 quid ticket, Traf, when lots will be under 21s and over 65s so the difference is probably marginal. But so what if it did make a few grand more...this is a bonus game anyway...a bigger crowd gives us a better chance of going through - where we'll make more money. And every seat filled is a potential programme sale, pint and pie sold...which would probably make up some of the difference anyway.

We could charge a hundred quid and give Liverpool 20 thousand tickets and make millions, but what's the point in that - unless your only concern is to swell club coffers - which we won't spend on any players anyway cos the window will be shut.

Crowds do matter - anyone who prefers the stadium like a morgue, less than half full compared with the whole experience when it's rammed, well what's that about? And we'll only keep NL for any length of time if he thinks the fans are on board.

We'll sell out

I'm not convinced on this. I've been on when there's 18k on and it's bouncing and full like a library. Part timers don't add that much in my opinion other than a few quid.

And Lennon knows we are on board.

Anfield looked pretty full and sounded empty.

And we'll only keep NL for any length of time if he thinks the fans are on board.

We'll only keep him for any length of time if a Premier League club doesn't come in for him, regardless of whether the fans are on board.

True, I'm not saying I'd like to see 10k day trippers. I'm sure he knows how loved he is already...but would definitely like to see more through the turnstiles to witness his revolution with their own eyes.

Think the club need a better pricing strategy for next season. Why not reduce every season ticket holder's ticket price for every fan they can persuade to come along? And definitely lower the on the day price to attract more occasional fans. I know prices are crazy even at non league level but doesn't mean we have to follow them. Every unsold seat brings in fuck all, why not think hard about how we reduce that number?

I didn't assume they all pay full price, I havent a clue about the breakdown.

What I'm pretty confident of, though, Is that we will generate more money at the current prices than we would at a little over half price.

And charging £26 to watch a top PL team doesn't create a future problem down the line.

What's our average adult ticket price to watch Championship football from which we keep all gate receipts?
