Too gung ho and naïve at 3-3, once we'd got back to getting something we richly deserved out of the game we should have kept the door shut. Fantastic game though, they completely went for it after hal

Gutted we didn't get anything from the game today. Missed chances at 2-1 cost us in the end.

Clough is a joy to watch, we just needed a Pratley figure to see the game through.

In the Freedman era, win, lose or draw, it was shit

In the Lennon era, win, lose or draw it's good most of the time

Good enough for me

I'd certainly be worried if I was Wheater & Dervite.

And Ream who ball watched for the winner.....

I'm with you Mounts but I reckon Lennon may be more concerned that they weren't closing down in the box as you would expect, pretty sure he would have known they would struggle against pace but they were guilty of dereliction of duty at times.

I'm gonna agree with Grandad58 now...why all the shit being thrown at our hardest working midfielder?

Yeah he dallies on it a bit but this really is nowt new

Honest as the day is long is Danns and always puts a shift in. Well good enough for us right now...I much prefer him box to box rather than holding though it must be said

Gotta have a scapegoat Jules, rule no.1 in the shitfan rule book.

Bloody love Clough me. Scoring goals is great, but he makes a lot of passes look so simple, even his ball down the line for our 2nd or the through ball where ALF scuffed his one on one; not really difficult but the weight is perfect. Looks a proper footballer

I'm not knocking Danns, he's been brilliant for us when we really needed players to stand up & be counted however he does have a tendency to dally on the ball. I think Watford had picked up on it. I feel if Pratley was fit Danns would probably find himself on the bench now Bannon is here.

I'm not in the Wheater bashing club because I think Mills would have struggled with the pace and movement of the Watford forwards, think the problem is our 3 centre halfs all lack real pace and we need 1 with pace to compliment.

Not bashing mate, I just think Mills has blossomed under Lennon. Better defender and our leader now

What if both Danns and Trotter play at the same time?

Rule 2 applies...pick on the local lad

Cloughs Bird to cheer us up a little.

To add balance to the deserved praise for a lad as young as Clough, a better decision 3 or 4 times in the second half and we'd have won that game.

This only will come with game time and if he carry's on like he has been he'll be a cracker.

then Trotter

We could and should have got a point today, we might have only got a point midweek.

2 draws = 2pts, we got 3.

It's hardly the end of the fucking world, lets move on.

ILWT

Have you listened to his interview? I'm not sure that's what he wanted. He was right, we chucked it away.

I suspected he'd have been trying to get the message across but it went unheeded. Problem was it was what the crowd (or at least some)wanted, and a few got a bit carried away with the excitement and adrenalin of it all.

But, not moaning, was fantastic fare, and as Gonzo said, probably the best game since we left the Prem. 39 shots by the two teams, 19 from us, unimaginable not so long ago.

Very well put sir

A wonderful game, could have got a point but didn't but it lifted my heart to watch us going forward with style & panache... the defending will be addressed in due course but for tonight I will go to sleep with only happy & positive thoughts.

Enjoyed today's game. Some wonderful attacking from us.

But we're 15th. Cardiff & Reading are at home on Tuesday, so we could be 17th. We're away to Forest & Boro next. That's hard cold reality.

Not worried. NL will get it sorted and we'll enjoy some good football along the way. Mid-table beckons, as it always has after another dreadful start under DF.

Feel sorry for Danns to a certain degree he's always been an industrious midfielder who plays his football in the oppositions half not the most technically gifted but will get about the park and work his bollocks off

Hes playing a position which is a specialised role which you can't learn overnight. Its one thing playing central / wide midfield when your facing up the majority of the opposition. Totally different kettle of fish having their midfielders pressing you and front men buzzing around you trying to pinch the ball in your own final 3rd

Doesn't do himself any favours half the time trying to overplay. Nick the ball and give. Job done! But give the fella a fucking break I'd rather have 11 of him than some shit houses that I've witnessed over the last couple of years who couldn't give a fuck

Would he play there give the choice? Probably not but I'd rather have him in their than the 2 we've just got rid of or anyone we've currently got

I agree with all of that.

His work rate is second to none but, as I mentioned to my mate on Tuesday, his timing is that far out he's nailed on for 2 of 3 red cards a season.

I'd sooner have him than spearing or medo.

Oh fuck off you condescending cunt, danns was out of his depth today and you know it but carry on have a pop

Cant knock Danns, always puts in the yards week in week out.

Not disputing that, but the game has quickened and he can't keep up with the pace of the young uns. But that makes us a shit fan who can see that
