Right - forgetting the bent bidding process and the conditions of the migrant workers building the stadiums - does anybody else agree that a Nov/Dec competition has the potential to be ace?

 

Firstly because it will take up most of the traditional Christmas bullshit season so we'll all be talking about football and not festivities. Secondly just for the novelty factor. And thirdly because we can see whether or not our well worn excuse about our players being tired stands up to scrutiny.

Very ordinary this Belgium side bar KDB, had it's big chance a few years ago.

I don't think they'll tumble that far down the rankings as they've still got decent players and infrastructure in place but are more likely to be a Switzerland sort of team (solid last 16 teams) rather than favourites.

Being ranked 2nd though right now us a complete joke.

Not brought any new players through. Barring Onana all the players have been around for years.

It's been a great World Cup so far. This is far better than watching the better European countries coast through.
