radcliffe white Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I believe that Tony Blair got us into it and were signed up, I may be wrong. We are being fleeced, and we told them so before they did it. him and his Mrs are bloody laughing all the way to the bank them two well and truly feathered their nest Quote
Redmond Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 You are wrong; it was Edward Heath We were conned and continue to be so What do you think we would gain from abandoning the EU? Quote
Guest Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 him and his Mrs are bloody laughing all the way to the bank them two well and truly feathered their nest Tony Blair should have stuck with voting with his father! Quote
overseas Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 We are not being fleeced. We are lucky as fuck to live in a country that is a a member of the EU. we are paying 30 million pounds a day into the EU and no-one can show monetary returns per day back on that? Id say a HUGE loss on the little I know ( I am ignorant of it ) Quote
Sweep Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 What do you think we would gain from abandoning the EU? £30M a day apparently Quote
Guest Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 What do you think we would gain from abandoning the EU? Have I said we should? Quote
overseas Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Sorry you can blame a lot on Tony Blair but this one is not his not by a long way which government was it that signed the UK into Europe? was it labour or the tories? Quote
Guest Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 which government was it that signed the UK into Europe? was it labour or the tories? Well, Heath was a Tory, albeit a very wet one Quote

Id say a HUGE loss on the little I know ( I am ignorant of it ) You seem to think we pay £30M a day to just be a member, and get nothing back. Anyway, I assume everyone here condemning our membership is voting UKIP, seeing as they're the only party that is crying for us to exit. Edited May 5, 2015 by Redmond Quote

overseas Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Also I believe that being in the EU has caused us to somewhat lose some of our sovereignty. I may be wrong on this. But UK Judges are overruled on cases, such as terrorists human rights etc. And I remember reading somewhere where they can tell the UK which interest rates to use !!! Quote
Redmond Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Have I said we should? I assumed so as you intimated that the EU was just a big con. Quote

Crap on interest rates, but we have given many of our sovereign rights away Quote

Whites man Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Thatcher signed the Single European Act which tied us much, much closer to Europe. Quote

I was asking what the UK gets back in money per day for the 30 million pounds it hands over to Europe, and you stated it isnt a financial agreemement. if that is so, we should have never got involved ( as they were told time again before they did it ) nothing has been shown here to suggest the UK gets anything back `that it didnt already have` I could post a full page on the downside of the EU I am perplexed at why anyone would consider being in the EU anything other than being fleeced for money.
