BTW, I know a few (openly) gay people down here but, for some reason, they don't seem to feel the need to flaunt their sexuality in scantily clad parades. 

 

I note that not a single one of you has yet answered the question about why hetero's don't parade in an overtly sexual way and, if they did, would they be prosecuted for offending public decency?

 

I also note that many with views similar to mine are staying silent as they don't feel ready to take on the NUT brainwashed and outraged keyboard warriors.

First gay bloke I met was way back at college in Leigh, worked with several in Manchester and we all used to drink down Canal Street after work but the hardest thing I've had to get my head around is a friend's son.

 

At 3 he used to waltz round in his mum's shoes, necklaces and clipon earings. Mrs Dee and I always reckoned he'd turn out gay and sure enough when he was mid teens got a phone call off his mum to say he'd come out .

 

He's just completed final stage of gender re-assignment which has taken around 8 years, and paid for entirely by himself, none of this NHS needs to give me bigger tits or I'll be damaged bollocks.

 

I don't pretend to fully understand it, and I don't think anyone who isn't in that situation could, but having known him, now her which I still can't get used to, for 20 odd years and conversations we've had over recent years with him/her and his mum it definately wasn't a trendy, flash in the pan, ooh I think I'll try being gay decision, he genuinely felt he was in the wrong body.

 

All that said he, sorry she, doesn't feel it necessary to flaunt round the local neighbourhood in a parade or bang the LBGTG or whatever it is drum to gain acceptance. She has a great set of friends, male and female, and is accepted for who he was/she is.
