So the fat pub landlord may've known something, who'd have thought, eh?

You only defend him because he is Htown

Bolton are in talks with an Irish consortium about buying out owner Eddie Davies. Last week the wealthy group discussed a potential takeover with Gartside and Lennon, but Davies must sweeten the deal by wiping the clubs debts. (Sun on Sunday)

Sweeten the deal, fucking hell! At least the Gartside Out brigade will return when Avram O'flaherty takes over.

That morrisions local is a cover for a mafia hideout FACT

No names on who they might be I would hope it's someone like JP Mcmanus but as he's a massive red I doubt that, he had a large shareholding in MUFC.

It's the wrong side of town to be Mafia territory.

Sssssh, don't blow the cover!

Anyhow, whoever it is there'll be the "I'm not going because......" crew. I don't think it is exclusive to our club though.

Thought it might be Thais in a an attempt to stop the 94th minute scenarios and get a 'happy ending'

Maybe this Irish Consortium had something to do with Neil Lennons choice to come here?

I'm wondering how well the change of name to Bolton Celtic and th green and white hoops kit will go down.

After all, it's going to mean money and didn't a good few on here say they wouldn't mind a name change if the cash flows in?

Hopefully some exciting news.

Indeed, so what if we changed our kit to green and white hoops, if it means the long term survival of the club than that's all we should be interested in

Wix.com, who sponsored our kits for the Liverpool games are an Isreali firm, could be something to do with their owners?

As for the Irish talk, could the signing of the deal come live from the Blarney Stone? I'm trying to get an angle on this.

Total assets $118.42 million (2014)

Membership of the Prestwich Whites has tripled in the last month ITK. Must be something in it.

I'm hearing that Gartside is leading the Irish consortium, if it comes off, he'll not only be chairman, but also the owner of the club. I'm sure that'll please some

It's no skin off my nose.

what difference would it actually make other than possibly reducing the debt

we're already spending all we are allowed to, aren't we?

Correct, it still won't stop people speculating though and assuming we'll be given loads of cash to spend......even though that can't happen

Spot on. When owners start changing club colours, or changing the name of a club because they paid for it, it's no longer your club, it's theirs. It's not about promoting the club, it's all about promoting them and their egos.

Clubs have changed colours and names on a regular basis over the years, it's only recently that knickers have got in a twist.

The Wimbledon/MK Dons thing was an absolute disgrace and very little was said. Compare that with the FA stopping the change of name at Hull, what a nonsense.
