If there's more clubs in for him and we can get a bidding war started then great. He's out of contract next summer, so absolutely no chance of us turning down anything north of £1m if that is the only offer there.

Don't understand this logic. I could understand it if it was your own money, but it's not. I sort of get "10 million is a lot to the club", but "you'd drive him there yourself"? What? Why?

Tbf, Bobby has been very good with the transfers, he just has no idea how to use defenders.
