Yeah, can't wait for the summer, when we're still left with Mavies, Spearing, Pratley, Amos, Moxey etc.

My biggest fear is the new manager will see these players as a better option than anything he will be able to afford to bring in (which they should be), will back himself to get a tune out of them & by the time he realises what a bunch of wasters they really are we will be in another relegation dogfight.

Next game is going to be very strange, the players are now very much in the firing line, before NL left they have been given an incredibly easy time.

 

The new owner is not to blame Jimmy P won't get any stick but all the players are. After the humiliation at Bristol it would seem their heads are elsewhere and apart from the very young players no one wants them here.

 

I have a modicum of sympathy for Spearing and Pratley as IMO always hard to fault their effort. ( I know others hate Pratley) but i can see a few hammerings on the pitch before end of season and a pretty terrible atmosphere at games especially when Hull and Boro turn up with loads of fans. I can honestly imagine the players being booed at the start of games.

 

Do you think there will be a 'lap of gratitude' after last home game ? How will that feel compared to atmosphere after we beat Borough to stay in Premiership ?

Most folk me included have not stayed for the end of season lap of honour for the last 6 years, it's embarrassing as is the end of season players awards these should be stopped until there is something to celebrate.

It is good news. Funny thing is Mr Lennon hadn't been forced to play him he still wouldn't be near the first team. If he could have brought in another journeyman mercenary on loan he would have. Had a very good game against Burton iirc but we didn't see him after that. One of the few good things to come out of the disaster that is this season.
