  • True, but the simple fact is that if Labour had got in and proposed this identical budget the press and other media would have ripped them to shreds.

  • It's always the bankers fault. Whatever the question is.

Given your limited ability to understand any concept that doesn't fit in with a rather limited worldview, I'd say your book reading stopped around Topsie and Tim.   Or Mein Kampf.

That's fucking disgusting, what happened to £50k over the course of the government? What a lying cunt

It's not disgusting is it? Anyone earning over £45k round here can afford the difference between the two.

"We will back your ambition

The 40p tax rate was only supposed to be paid by the

best-off people in our country. But in the past couple of

decades, far too many have been dragged into it.

We have already announced an above-inflation increase

in the threshold next year. Now we will raise the 40p

tax threshold much further, so that no one earning less

than £50,000 pays the higher rate of Income Tax. The

800,000 people earning between £42,385 and £50,000

will no longer pay the 40p rate of tax."

Seems to have nailed it

What birch-chorley won't be able to stomach is how much better off still the country will be after this term of government.

He needs to look for silver linings. Just think how much his lot will have to squander once the British public fall for it again as they always do eventually (to their cost).

At least UK State Pensions to Australia remain frozen.

And in fiscal news down under, Eddie, of Eddie's Towing and MOT, and Chancellor of Australia has announced a 4 cent rise on stubbies, a cut in the weekly dole-bludger money of $12, another increase of 10% tax per kilo of snags, but he's announced an end to duty on driving into the outback with your kids, setting the car on fire and shooting yourself in the head.

Why should a household that earns £40k potentially by one parent get less than one bringing in £39k from potentially 2 parents

The household earning £35k over two parents takes home more after tax than a household with one parent bringing in £40k anyway

PAYE tax should be calculated over household income the if benefits are, at least you can share the salary at the lower tax threshold

Sorry but its just how i feel about it. If you have £40k gross income, don't ask anyone else to subsidise your choice to have kids. This country and world in general is overpopulated as it is without incentives to make it worse.

Just be grateful you have a well paid job birch lad????

we get it you are loaded...... :D

We get it

Your a contractor and don't have a clue how PAYE works let alone what the rates are ????

Fuck the lot off then and put the savings into tax across the board

Don't caculate tax per person then calculate child benefit per household

Either do it one way or the other. If be happy with a system either way as long as its consistent

It's bollocks, it's still starts at a lower rate than it did when he came in and he's not planning on moving it until it kicks is when's he's gone

I don't think any benefits whether its child benefit or tax credits should be paid for more than 2 kids.

If you want kids you should be able to look after them

Can't find anything in there that greatly affects me.

Yeah, it is all about me.

Because life is that simple eh?

I note that Osborne is slowing down the rate of cuts. Which is what Labour argued for ahead of the election. And apparently anyone who argued for that was a Commie on here.....glad that Osborne has seen sense over this.

By the same logic those that thought it was a good policy from Labour won't now slag the Tories off for it?

What if the company you work for goes bust tomorrow and you can't find other employment?

Because life is that simple eh?

I have 3 kids aged 6, 7 and a 10 month old baby. They cost me a fortune, so I work my ass off in my real job and have another business to provide for them

People who have kids should pay for the dubious priviledge, and those monies passed on to the childless-as compensation for having to put up with you [parents and kids both]...

What if the company you work for goes bust tomorrow and you can't find other employment?

that's nothing to do with deciding to have a 3rd child.

In any case I would search day and night until I found another Job and I would hope that after paying into the pot since I was 15 the welfare state would help me out temporarily

What about a family who can affoid to raise a child who end up having triplets?

I am sure the Govt will make an exception should somebody be that unlucky

If only it was all so easy.

Truth is its not for a lot of people.

It's only when the shit hits the fan folk change their tune.

How about those who don't work and continually pop out kids? the shit doesn't hit the fan for them

Some folk barely know their own name never mind have a plan on how many kids they are going to drop.

I suppose the problem is, you have a good job, have a third child, that becomes twins, so end up with 4. Then lose your job or become sick or whatever.

In theory I think 2 children then manage on your own is right but in practice it is difficult to see it always being fair.

He said today triplets/twins is another case and will be treated differently
