Thankfully, at least as far as England is concerned, the voters produced the right result for the future on this particular occasion. There has only ever been one party who will do the hard things and get the country back on track. You will probably only have to wait this and possibly one more term before you can enjoy profligate spending and its associated borrowing again. Historically, the British public gets bored with the same leadership after a while - even if it is proving successful.

I am not quite sure what is going on at the moment, the Tories are being more Labour than Tony Blair ever was yet they are still right wing Tory cunts to some. I know it isn't as clear cut as that with the benefit cuts but if you are working class (working) then they seem to be helping work pay.

Not quite the issue. I think there is an appetite for some real and genuine honesty in politics here. Whoever and wherever that may come from. Laying things on the line rather than pretending everyone will get everything.

I was in BUPA whilst I was working. Good for many simple procedures but  once your old then its on your way.

If it meant a reduction in NI contribution I would be up for it, no previous problems and a non-smoker I should be quids in, red wine consumption aside.

Hrmm. We put one of UK production managers in charge of our Chicago plant in the late 90's he loved the US but with a wife and two young uns he reckoned he was laying out 21% of his salary on healthcare insurance. It aint cheap.
