September 17, 201510 yr That was a game we would have lost last season - certainly going in the right direction. Thought Moxey and Wellington Boot were outstanding. Madine didn't get a lot of protection from the ref, but did look a penalty towards the end of the first half. Hopefully the return of Clayton might bring us a few goals.
September 17, 201510 yr The ref was a twat. Moxey was excellent again. Thought Danns and Davies were pretty poor. Davies not so much poor, just quiet. Wellington showed glimpses of brilliance. Defence pretty solid again, could see Derik was relieved when that big fucker up front for them (Nuihu??) went off though. Crying out for a striker. When does the loan window shut?
September 17, 201510 yr I thought Danns probably had his best game this season, can't fault his work rate ever , he is frustrating though seems to lose concentration and get caught in possession and mistime passes a lot.
September 17, 201510 yr danns poor? dear god why do you always act so outraged and shocked when someone doesn't share your opinion. clown
September 17, 201510 yr Author because they ran the game for the first 25 minutes danns came over and said hello and bannan cleared off on to the right different game and lennons told everybody why he plays cos he runs around a lot and gets involved thats his game while lennon is happy for 3 of our team to do nothing in defence, we need a neil danns and he did at well on tuesday
September 17, 201510 yr Danns has a touch of the Jlloyd Samuel about him, in that if he has time and space to think about what he's doing that's when he'll fuck up. Under pressure he usually gets it spot on.
September 17, 201510 yr He looks like he gives the ball away a lot but he does get given it a lot in tight areas in our half. He's no Pirlo so he's likely to end up losing it a bit. Considering when he first came, he was playing a lot further forward and has gone back to do a specific job for the manager, he doesn't do bad most games.

I agree his best game for a while, also must be said he's playing the main midfielder tackler and enforcer role and it's not really what he is. He's another 100% and were a poorer team without him at the moment.
September 17, 201510 yr Danns has a touch of the Jlloyd Samuel about him, in that if he has time and space to think about what he's doing that's when he'll fuck up. Under pressure he usually gets it spot on. It's one thing feckin up in the hurly burly of midfield and another at full back where you probably get more space and time than anywhere else on the pitch.
September 17, 201510 yr why do you always act so outraged and shocked when someone doesn't share your opinion. clown But Dann's had his best game for a long time. realise everyone sees a different game but to say he was poor on Tuesday seems to suggest whatever he does won't be enough for you. I honestly can't see how anyone being objective and fair could say Dann's was 'pretty poor' either.
September 18, 201510 yr I obviously dont have a clue what im on about! haha. Just dont recall him doing anything of note and dont think working your bollocks off warrants as 'playing well'. Also one post suggests that he will never do enough for me. I dont think ive slated Danns before on here? I actually think he is more than good enough for us at this stage.
September 18, 201510 yr I actually think he is more than good enough for us at this stage. Aye, must be why we've struggled so much since relegation. He's not good enough at all, he is just all we have got
September 18, 201510 yr Lennon mentioned Danns in his press conference today. Basically said that he does exactly whats asked of him and does it well. He has his faults but if he was brill at everything he wouldnt be playing for us. Honest and fair assessment really.
September 18, 201510 yr Aye, must be why we've struggled so much since relegation. He's not good enough at all, he is just all we have got So Neil Danns not being "good enough" is why we've struggled for the last few years? Have you been sniffing tippex?
September 18, 201510 yr I also thought Danns played well at Blackburn and on Tuesday. He also looks fitter than he has done for a while.
September 18, 201510 yr Danns just needs to keep things simpler. Lennon has said he's in the team to be a more defensive minded midfielder. Defensive midfielders shouldn't get caught in possesion as much as he does. His workrate is good, if he could concentrate on keeping it simple with the ball he would be much more effective for us.
September 18, 201510 yr Maybe if there was more movement by folk in front of him he would release the ball a bit sooner?
September 19, 201510 yr Maybe if there was more movement by folk in front of him he would release the ball a bit sooner? Lost count of the times this season where the man on the ball has had a load of statues in front of him.
