Its not just a new striker we need... We could do with a new midfield aswell

Clough is a shame but we have options there and it might get the goals flowing

What is it with Pratley he gets injured and we are told he's out for a couple of games then goes missing for ages same as last season another injury prone player in our squad! Get Nolan back and fast!

Moxey mom for me, Wilson looks like a good addition too.

Wilson looks a good solid player. A few round me were shouting he was wank. I don't get it. I really don't.

Same here. He does his job with no frills but the key bit being he does his job

Good solid pro will do for me.

Back five were all good again, totally get why NL needed to rebuild it and he seems to have done a good job of it, including getting major improvement out of Moxey, did really well again last night.

Top keeper and that defending kept us in it first half and gave us the chance to win it when they started running out of puff 2nd half but we never really looked like doing. Madine's not good enough for this level, Wellington causes defenders a bit of anxiety with his dribbles into the box but seems to have an aversion to getting to the line now and then and putting a cross in, and Feeney went back to having one of those nights where his crossing was poor.

Bit better with Dobbie on, physically stronger player just off Madine who wants to get shots in, but otherwise we were attacking with blunt instruments. Hopefully a loan rabbit might yet be pulled out of the hat, if not we'll be like Sheff Wed of last season, hard to beat but lowest scorers in the Division

Best defence we've had in a while.. we look like a work in progress but it's great that were actually making some. We look hard to beat which isn't a bad thing at all would love a strong midfielder and goal scorer but then so do half the league.

It was a poor spectacle.

Wellington looks a talented player with no end product. Shame.

We need more surging runs from Mark Davies.

I believe him and Welly will win us plenty of penalties if they run at defenders into the box.

Heskey was embarrassing for the 10 minutes he was on.

Won more in the air and facilitated twice as many attacks as Madine and Clough combined last night. I'd start him and Dobbie next game if we don't get another striker in before then.

One thing I was impressed about last night was how well and quickly the defence recovered after a mistake or misplaced pass. Good to see.

Prince and Derik definitely have a mistake or two in them. The good thing is they have the pace to recover. Early days but I'm impressed with the partnership.

Our defence was very good again last night after a shakey 10mins, there 3 5 1 1 formation was cutting us apart but once we understood it, we did ok to manage it, moxey looks like a new signing with his current form.

Shame we are going to lose Clough for a while but clayton should be back shortly.

Hope dobbie starts against fartown on Saturday always looked decent when he's come on as sub and not afraid to shoot outside the box.

I think feeney and silva should swap wings as I feel silva would cross better than feeney.

steady start to the season averaging a point a game.

I actually ejoyed the game and I thought Heskey did well, other than that agree with the rest.

Another cleansheet after a wobbly start to the game and a new lovely looking Scouse girl serving in the North Upper where the highlight of a average nights football.

From those highlights, it looks to me like Madine is one lucky goal away from scoring a LOT of goals.

Almost like he doesn't quite believe he'll score right now.

I'm 100% behind Madine not doing much wrong his attitude and work rate and general play are all sound he'll get his goals I'm sure

All this carp about the defence looking solid etc....

At home we are reasonably solid and the results have been generally excellent.

The problems are all away from home.

That's where we simply have to improve.

If we stop what I consider to be a poor Huddersfield team scoring then I might start to believe that our defence is actually improving.......

Yep. He's a trier and you can't fault his positioning, and, as you say, his attitude and work rate. He's out of form, and it will hopefully come back, and if it does I'm sure that he'll score quite a few

Our defence has improved beyond all recognition.

Moxey was superb last night and Derik is also looking a good player.

I think dobbie added something when he came on and must start Saturday.

Wednesday were decent but they have spent a fair bit and to be honest they were no better than us in the final third.

Carp? We now have an excellent, consistent young goalkeeper. Two full backs who look like full backs, one of whom is unrecognisable from the player under Freedman and we have two back ups who appear promising. We have two 'free' signings in Derik & Prince who look very good, yes they are still learning and will make mistakes but I enjoy watching them play and they look like they will be excellent signings.

In 4 home games (all against top half sides I'd say) we have conceded a wonder strike and a soft penalty.

Away, yes we need to improve but we have been shit away since we came down. Apart from 45 mins at Boro where our defence was dismantled more by our own manager than the opposition we have shown signs of improvement. Theres always the chance of a thrashing away in this league (Ipswich for example the other week) but Lennon is building from the back and I am very encouraged, its slow progress but hopefully it will continue Saturday. Agree with this but can understand folk not yet getting too giddy, it is just a good defensive mechanism for us Bolton fans as we are normally 1 step forward and 2 back.

That was a game we would have lost last season - certainly going in the right direction.

Thought Moxey and Wellington Boot were outstanding.

Madine didn't get a lot of protection from the ref, but did look a penalty towards the end of the first half.

Hopefully the return of Clayton might bring us a few goals.
