Bigtoe Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 At the time would ED have known about the Blumarble agreement and the terms of how that loan was structured? Quote
Boby Brno Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 With all the brinkmanship that was going on just before the court case and HMRC after blood, who knows what negotiations/agreements occurred. Quote
Cheese Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 To be fair to Deano, I doubt we'd still be a football club if he hadn't got involved. It seems to have gone pear-shaped for him since though. Quote

Cheese Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) I doubt we'd still be a football club much longer if he'd got full control either. Agreed. I think he accidentally saved us. I don't think he had any plans to suck us dry and run off with a bag of money, I just don't think he had fully understood what he was getting into, and his teaming up with Ken was a bit of a fluke. I have no idea what I'm talking about though. I'm just making shit up. Edited February 10, 2017 by Cheese Quote
gonzo Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 At the time would ED have known about the Blumarble agreement and the terms of how that loan was structured? Not forgetting ED turned down various bids for investment before choosing Deano. That's not just rumour either. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 if we take a step back both Deano and Ken acknowledged they'd agreed Ken buys deanos shares so we know deanos happy to exit stage left it's at that point Ken unearthed the blu marble issue which you'd assume he planned to re-finance but then found out he couldn't. So as each day passes the interest stacks up. How the fuck this got past the football league is laughable or more likely they just didn't have the bollox to effectively send a club like bwfc under. Are we the most whopping financial basket case in the football league? If it was really that bad would Ken be bringing players like ALF on deadline day and not some random foreigners on 2 sheckles a week ..... what's twatzdick up to he's a full back isn't he?? Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Seems a bit strange him saying still looking at free agents. What do we pay them with if kens propping up wages? He must be prepared to keep putting in and out. Daft thing is our debt isn't absolutely massive, even with the blue marble shite. If promotion is worth 5 or 6 million then presumably ken or another investor may see us as a bit of a gamble worth taking, especially at end of the season when wages drop. Quote

Yea the sensationalist ST report didn't help telling everyone next seasons running costs based on contracts that'll have expired Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) If they haven't got it, they haven't got it Don't buy if you can't pay, thing is the club don't pay for most of the services provided the fans do and cash up front before said service used. if it was you supplying the service sure you'd take it so casually. And it's like the muppet show on here bert says something then Ernie backs him up the bumchuffery on here is over bearing think it's time to fuck it off. RUREADY2ROLL Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Yea the sensationalist ST report didn't help telling everyone next seasons running costs based on contracts that'll have expired With the exception of Pratley (June 2018) and Ben Amos (June 2019) all the high paid players contract expire this June Good management and we can get through this; promotion would provide enough revenue to see next season out and hopefully we will eventually get a buyer. With the quality that we will have though if we go up we will definately struggle in the Championship Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Yea the sensationalist ST report didn't help telling everyone next seasons running costs based on contracts that'll have expired Presumably any genuine potential investor has the wherewithal to ignore it and do their homework. Each business has to make its own assessment and act accordingly. Anyone supplying BWFC at the moment, must know what risks there are.I doubt anyone at the club are knowingly procuring goods or services that they have no intention of paying for. Delays in payment are inevitable due to the financial circumstances. If that is a problem for some, don't supply. Quote

ianofcleveleys Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 PP might make some iffy signings, some team selections we don't get and some questionable substitutions. His preferred formation and style of play may not suit, but I am pretty sure he is a better manager than any of Lennon, Freedmen, Coyle and Megson. Quote
