I too would be happy with Phil Brown. Decent manager at the level we will be punching IMO.

Fucking loves Bolton too

So did Coyle.

I don't mind Phil Brown, I don't see why so many have a downer on him. We won't be in much of a position to pick and choose who we want anyway. Anyway, it looks, like we're lumbered with Lennon for the time being anyway, so it's all pretty much a moot point anyway

See, I don't get this.

We will be in a position to pick and choose. It's a Championship job that aspiring managers and those desperate to get back into work will want.

The money will be decent enough and it's a great chance to prove yourself.

Let's not go down that road of thinking people will have to consider us rather than it being the other way round.

I'm working on the assumption that by the time Lennon goes, and us having collected a 12pt deduction, we will be far enough adrift that it will be to a club already resigned to relegation, and if that's the case, then you really don't get the pick of the crop.

So did Coyle.

Coyle gave us the lift we needed to avoid relegation that season.

Phil Brown could do the same with us now.

That is when we hit the big time, when he appeared in 'stenders with then gingham away top on

Although there doesn't appear to be any Google record of it, in the interest of fairness I must point out that he actually wore the 95/96 away shirt (light blue body, dark blue sleeves). I know this only as wearing said top and going as "that mentalist from Eastenders" was my choice as Halloween fancy dress when going trick or treating that year.

When it comes down to it, all management jobs are essentially means to something better. There also aren't that many of them compared to candidates and most pay a better wage than the majority of is pull. Lennon came here to prove himself and move up I'd guess, he wasn't exactly knocking back that Leicester link over the summer.

I'm not saying Guardiola will be knocking on the door, but like the last time it was advertised, you'll be amazed who applies.

Nothing against Phil Brown, got very find memories of him. I'm just saying that we will have a decent crop to pick from, some of whom will be better options than Brown.

On a related point, has Brown got cash in the consortium linked with him? That would definitely be an issue if he has no needs sacking down the line!

From other news article.

"Four people were convicted of conspiring to defraud the Royal Bank of Scotland out of £675,937.50 and conspiracy to defraud a financial services company to the value of £214,000 between May and December 2010. The gang, headed by Disley, targeted companies in financial difficulty. They would take over the companies and strip them of their assets - using them to open bank accounts and obtain money by writing fraudulent cheques"

Scroll up a bit lad

Yep. Apologies!

Deleted the huge picture anyway!

All murky as fuck this smells very very whiffy

If this is what 'selling British' means, then I'm out.

Pearson with some money if there were to be a lenny replacement. Knows the league and was unlucky to get binned by Leicester

As long as it's 'real' money, I couldn't care less where it came from.

That Holdsworth thing looks crooked as buggery, he needs to pick his associates a bit more carefully.

What was the middle east interest? Anybody know about that?

The fella next to him in the pic isn't an associate apparently. They'd never met before, and were simply sat in the same box. According to Iles.

I'd have been happy with that, if you hadn't finished the sentence with Iles :D

So why is the "King of Marbella" going to Bolton v Cardiff?

No idea.

I am liking it how Stelios is handling his bid he's saying very little seems he's going about his business the right way. I'm hoping he's got decent backing and if he has he'd get my vote.

im saying very little about my bid, too

same reason as stelios, i reckon

Same here, Mounts.

I'm not keen on a fools & horses bid.

What has Holdsworth said?

Like stelios a lot,he's my preferred option, not getting a good feeling about this holdsworth bid.

Are you basing this purely on the fact that we haven't heard anything? - I not sure we've heard anything from the Holdsworth consortium either, so surely they're going about their business in the right way as well. I'm hoping people aren't worried about the Holdsorth bid based purely on who he was sat next to at a football match
