Eddie has had some abuse these past few weeks, a lot of it unwarranted by idiots.

  • So a bloke who gave us £150million is asking that his contribution be remembered by naming a room after him. Not a stand or the entire stadium. A room.   He's also asking that instead of getting his

Just looking at Gartsides record as a company director, maybe he's aiming to make us number 40 (yes 40) of the number of companies he's been a director of which have been dissolved

Yes, I have, and I'm asking you where the money has come from, seeing as you think it hasn't come from Eddie Davies....

Regardless of the tax-havens, do you think a mysterious stranger has been pumping money in, or what?

Often thought John Taylor may have helped Eddie along the way. I doubt whether we the tax man or the Sunday Times will ever understand the transactions between here Bermuda and the Isle of Man.

Whose John Taylor?

Whose John Taylor?

Seriously, giving out contracts and not paying them is disgusting behavior from Davies. If you don't have the money to pay someone don't give them a contract.

I, for one, am polishing up my TR85 badge.

Starting to feel that we will need to be campaigning soon lads.

Just checked Taylor's background and his educational philanthropy and could it be he's involved in the Bolton Wanderers Free school project? Certainly the type of thing he likes to get involved in.

Its possible but I suppose irrelevant now, whether the debt is £10m or £170m its gone, our problem is identifying a sound investor with credentials and a long term plan.

Always thought the whole £100m redevelopment proposal was a ruse to increase the clubs potential value.  How much does Allardyce go on in his book about the club lacking ambition?  Looks a bit silly now.

So you're not reading. If you were reading, you'd see my answer to your question.

I'll give you a hint, it's all in my first comment.

Do keep up.

The article on BWFC quotes numerous times 'online forums state this or that', which it then takes as gospel.

Then dismisses club statements of who the actual shareholder is.

Personally I'd rather believe the audited accounts rather than some random website.

Did you read the whole 55 pages? Or just the BWFC bit?

I believe the audited accounts.

It's the accounts & information I can't see means I don't know, nor will ever know the full truth & I mean the truth from the beginning not just the accounts.

Why have there been 4 Fildraw companies in different guises? 3 now dissolved in the Isle of Man, now Fildraw Trust from Bermuda? Don't get me started on all the companies registered at Company house with the ground as their address, the dissolved ones, the current ones, the questionable ones.

I was thinking recently, leave it to the basics, ED arrived when we were 30m in debt & leaving with no debt & great assets in place & great infrastructure. Well done to him.

With talk of administration & even bankruptcy of BWFC, I'm worried about our future, or even if there is one! So I'm not satisfied with the basics til it's resolved.

A takeover can't happen soon enough

We are an online forum, no one on here has got a clue what's currents happening. I think it's fair to say that is absolute fact.

What's that got to do with the price of fish:

Dissolution isn't insolvency.

Having a company dissolved because say, it is a dormant subsidiary after a takeover doesn't mean it's gone under. It happens all the time.

Very very murky.

Wether it's all legal or morally correct doesn't matter we on the verge of going bust.

There's going to be a lot of eggs on a lot of faces. I include myself in that.

Don't have too, already know that name.

What's the name of the other woman that crops up as Secretary of these companies, a lot?

Search her too

Or those involved have ran up debts and loans against the company and then dissolved it?

Nah

can you disolve a company , lose the debt and then have another?

i can see a tax free future for big e if you can :D

Will we still have a meaningful football club to support after Christmas. That 's the question.

It's too early for the inquest, but there will need to be one.

Dunno ask your uncle Phil.

He seems to like doing it :D

Know it won't go down well with many on here, but how ED as a 'lifelong'' supporter can sit and do nothing about the demise of our club is unbelievable. I can understand him wanting to sell but his timing is terrible. Surely he could continue to fund the club until it's sold. Unless it's all part of some plan.

How can we all sit by and do nothing

If we all remortgaged our houses and chucked that in then we would probably see the season our and be able to buy a striker

Up for it?

Nah, the most folk are actually prepared to do is spout off on the Internet.

He hasn't done nothing though has he ? He's probably done more for the club than any other individual in the clubs history.

What if he was to say 'I'll fund for 2 more years whilst we find a buyer'. would that be acceptable ?

What if he had said that 2 years ago. Or 4 years ago.

None of us know his individual circumstances, and to see some of the slagging off of him by people I otherwise respect on here, it makes me feel a little sadder each time.

Madejski's comments on Reading are pertinent and give us a bit of insight into owning a club.

"I bought the club in 1990, it had been up for sale ever since, only billionaires need apply".

He sold the club in 2014
