Bolty hasn’t posted yet.

Hes been reading the thread.

It’s a no win for him

He's posted on the TV thread in the last hour but seems to have given this thread a miss so far.  Odd that.

And Bolty...

In all fairness, he'd rather be American than British, he dislikes Britain, he's says as much on a regular basis.

It's been great this week watching some actual bona-fide real life and proper politicians and diplomats talk away from the cesspit UK politics.

No hyperbole, no sensationalism, no shit slinging, insults and point scoring.

No toffs quaffing and wailing at eachother in the commons or tabloid hysteria.

Just proper leaders and diplomats talking passionately with common fucking sense and intellectual thinking.

From Rutte, Carney and even Newsome from across the pond it's been brilliant and quite frankly refreshing.

Maybe all isn't lost after all.

Is this the single market that we left that he’s talking about?

I don't think they'd all be performing better on their own.

And neither are we.

I'd hazard a guess Germany are most affected by Russian energy malarkey.

I guess so, but encouraging to hear this acknowledgment.

Anyway, let’s get back on topic. Trump. Still no sign of an apology from the draft-dodging coward for his obnoxious comments yesterday. To be expected I guess - he’s lived his pathetic life with the mantra of “never apologise, never back down”. We need more and more relentless criticism to publicly humiliate him and his cronies. Newsom was right. Silence is unforgivable, and shows complicity. The only way to stop him destroying global democracy is to call the spineless tosser out. No one should defend him now. Without exception.

Made badly written comment last night but as our US resident prince has had backbone to condemn him, would be nice for Wills and Charles in their respective positions as heads of the armed forces to do likewise. That would sting the status obsessed clown.

He’ll be struggling still.

He always said that if something came out from the Epstein files that he would criticise him.

 But I don’t think he expected this…

Time to do the right thing & call him out for who he is.

Same for @wanderer1984 - who just recently said he thought Trump was doing an excellent job 😂

be interesting to see what they both think now

Name one.

Has he named any yet out of interest?

I couldn’t see

I can understand the frustrations about our economy & cost of living. But people are deluded if they think Farage & his new merry band of Tory Lis Truss wannabes are going to fix it. It’ll be carnage under them.

He’s posted a picture of himself walking a penguin across the ice in Greenland.

A penguin. In Greenland. A penguin.

Mind you, I bet that penguin is under 16 years old.

No more than you’d expect from Thicko Trump. The gift that keeps on giving.

You have to wonder whether he/his team realise how much the ROW views him with a mixture of ridicule and hate.

Yet they talk about “how much the US is now respected” 😂.

I do acknowledge though he’d be world champ at lying, grifting, gaslighting and projection.

I think the current situation shows that Europe can work together for the common good, without over regulation, undue costs, and unnecessary political alignment.

Btw, Trump aside, I agree 100% with you on this. I voted Brexit (shhhh 🤫) mainly for the reasons of sovereignty and reduced bureaucracy…..so if the EU itself addresses the latter then imho that can only be a good thing for the broader European group of nations (including us), given how vulnerable our relationship with the US is looking atm.
