We're in the shit and as fans we should all try pulling together for the good of our club, this trust might not be the right vehicle but I'm going with an open mind.

This. I know nobody who's involved, am open minded about what a Trust might be able to achieve, and will be guided by the collective expertise and experience they have assembled to address the meeting. I'll be there and give it a fair hearing.

If I were to join a Supporters Trust, I'd like a choice, like at a General Election

Is Manning involved?

Is Manning involved?

Yup

Publicly, now?

I'd heard they were trying to keep his involvement a secret.

Can't imagine why.

You two fine gentlemen are very astute.

You also share my opinion of him.

Is Manning involved?

He is according to his own twitter account.

So, are we going to be able to observe the meeting over the internet or not?

CJG, are you paying for the use of the FanZone?

I looked around the Reebok looking for a wedding venue a couple of years ago so know how expensive it is.  Your meeting may go someway to paying a few staff this month meaning some good may come.

I don't think so.

Marc Iles will be blogging on Twitter/BN,. I think

Will the kiosk have hotdogs?

He is according to his own twitter account.

I have it on reasonable authority he isn't involved.

Good luck with it to all involved.

Good luck with it to all involved.

Agreed, let's hope some good does come of it.

Right then folks.......I have been asked to post the following for you all to have a look at.

Few things to help reassure people about the trust…

LoV are not in charge or running things. A few of their members have been involved with helping with websites and online etc… but there are only a handful of people who are doing the day to day stuff. Everyone who got involved did so by being brought together by Supporters Direct from people who had contacted them about setting up a trust.

We’ve not wanted to keep who is involved secretive, rather we didn’t want to go shouting about who is involved because we’d be accused of wanting to boost our egos or doing it for the wrong reasons etc… Can see how some would see it as being secretive, but honestly that has not been the intention.

Who will be in charge going forward will be up to who puts their hand up to offer to help. If the trust is agreed to be set up on Wednesday then we will need people to volunteer to help set it up and constitute it. Supporters Direct will help but we will need people to come forward.

Want to reassure people that this isn’t a distraction for the club or the supporters. We are working with the club and they are being kept informed of all developments

What is the aim of the trust? That will be up to the membership to decide. It will be whatever people want it to be… but we need people to get involved to help shape it.

Is Manning involved?

Only if voted for

somebody should record the event or stream it live

if its about communication then let everyone listen

Exactly, thankyou.

Not all fans live in Bolton

Also don't say in your message that you might show it over the internet if you can't.

Otherwise it's the same old shit, promising and not delivering, not a good start.

I believe Trevor Birch will speaking at this.

Great move if so.

I'm liking all of this to be honest. It's refreshing and shows that folk care.

I understand Carlos reservations over a few involved but from what I can gather its pretty much an open invitation to get involved.
