In 98, we stopped in Aix en Provence for the Marseille game. Beautiful little place, good bars & restaurants, friendly locals & Shit loads of fountains for pouring bubble bath into :D

I wouldn't bother with Lens, it's a shithole. The key thing is getting to these places before the herds, better for getting accommodation & touting tickets cheaper.

Don't think Everton fans found it any more hospitable last year - it Calais MkII.

Lens is easy enough to stay over here and travel in on Eurostar on the day of the game - proper beer here

I'm considering flying to Nice for the R16 game on the 27th, which may or may not involve England having a bit of sun and then moving around France dependent on how things pan out. Will probably end up in Paris for the final with no expectation of getting tickets but just being in and around the tournament for a couple of weeks.

17-20 Paris - hoping to pick up a Portugal v Austria ticket while Im there

20-22 Marseille - got ticket for Ukraine v Poland, cant wait to see that ground with its new roof, looks impressive

22-24 Nice - got ticket for Sweden v Belgium

Lille was a horrible place in 98 so if heading to Lens, don't stop there!

Bloody hell 18 years ago.

Fucking frightening.

Happy days though looking back.

The 16th-20th looks a bit "intense", you in car or on train?

We're flying to Bordeaux to start with and staying 5 nights. The Sweden Ireland game is a bit of a pain because we're having to get a return train up to Paris and come back early the next day for the next match in Bordeaux.

The rest of the trip we're based in Lyon, so it'll be easy to get to St Etienne, a long day trip for Marseille and then the last game is in Paris so we'll get the eurostar back.

One flight out, one from Bordeaux to Lyon and the rest is all on the trains.
