Give it time, the star and crescent will be flying over Blackpool Tower in ten years time, and that laughing clown at the entrance to The Pleasure Beach? Gone, replaced by an anamatronic Abu Hamza - d

Well the UK has started on it's road to a progressive society; we've managed to get rid of Bolty for starters.

  • In the 80s I knew a Barnsley season ticket holder who, surprisingly, got lost looking for the old Huddersfield ground. He needed to stop and ask, but all those he could see were of dusky hues, and he

While we're talking celebrations, how about June 23rd as a bank holiday?

I was speaking to a few of the waiters around the pool. Some (not all) go the whole hog and don't even drink water from 3am until sundown at around 7pm. Fucking madness in those temperatures.

Is Liverpool especially warm at the moment?

Well it will mean that plenty of folk will have time off work

Not out of choice and for longer than a day though

It's Eid tomorrow as well isn't it Carlos? Some today, most tomorrow isn't it.

I get the Eid (English Independence Day) but what does the other bit mean?

Meant to be ebi smolarek

Our peg works in a predominantly Muslim school.

They are having to deal with kids passing out due to fasting. I don't give 2 shits either way for religion but not feeding and watering your primary school aged child is fucked up I'm my eyes.

The school had 53% attendance yesterday and that was with year 6 at 100% as they were at Pgl.

Thowt kids were excluded from partaking in the fasting until their balls dropped or started bleeding

Should be easier to get taxis now

Yeh probably. I don't recall this happening 10/15 years ago though, in fact back then i'd guess most of us were

unaware when it was Ramadan or Eid.

I know we live live in a growing multi cultural society, but i wonder if in 10/15 years Xmas/Easter will be downgraded to nothingness. whilst the UK virtually grinds to a halt during Ramadan/Eid.

No, because nobody has turned in due to it being Eid

I think he was suggesting the kids were off as it was Eid.

And year 6 were 100% attendance as they were on a school holiday.

That's just ridiculous

I suppose you would have said the same if after Euro '96 someone had come on Ye Olde Wanderersways and suggested that in 20 years some schools would be doing away with Xmas nativity plays for fear of upsetting folk.

In 20 years By current growth Muslims will be nowhere near a majority, so why would everything grind to a halt?

Correct Jules. The Muslim population in this country is still under 5% I believe, some would have you believe they're almost in the majority

why would everything grind to a halt?

Because Halliwell Rd and Blackburn Rd did yesterday, with the majority of shops shut.

Couldn't get a haircut at my usual Halal Barbers, it's a scandal ;-)

If that's correct then can we get a correlation with how much trouble they cause as a percentage of the total?

Y'know, terrorism, grooming, flaunting road rules etc.

86% of this country is white is it not?

Edit genuine query not engaging in another boring debate about muslims
