July 15, 201610 yr Often imitated, never bettered etc.. I had to turn my notifications off on Facebook. Someone even posted my ramblings on the BEN website disguised as their own. Bonkers. As for slim bins, well they can just fuck off. Wait a minute.... That was you?

July 15, 201610 yr I save my best moaning for wanderers ways though. It's a 'Small' world. Geddit I read that on Facebook and thought it sounded like you, even though I don't know you from Adam, never met you and only read similar style rants on here, but just thought " that's spider off WW" Funny place this internet thing

July 15, 201610 yr What am I missing? I posted a little whinge about the new bins on Facebook It got shared a fair bit. I now have a load of friend requests off people I've never heard of who seem eager to discuss bins with me.
July 18, 201610 yr I posted a little whinge about the new bins on Facebook It got shared a fair bit. I now have a load of friend requests off people I've never heard of who seem eager to discuss bins with me. Haha, quality! So, you lot have had your big general waste bin swapped for a little one? Hope they don't do the same in Chorley as we would be knackered. Our bin is overflowing every fortnight and we recycle everything we can. We used to put food waste in the green bin until the council said we can't anymore.
July 18, 201610 yr Has anybody been offered a 'bin audit'? Basically someone rifling through your bins to make sure you've put your left over pot noodle in the right bin?
July 18, 201610 yr Has anybody been offered a 'bin audit'? Basically someone rifling through your bins to make sure you've put your left over pot noodle in the right bin? I know the "bin police" have been around our village recently - they've left notes stuck to peoples bins telling them that they've had their contents monitored and pointing out any "mistakes" that they've made. The Binmen are also now refusing to take away any bins where the lid won't shut, so no over-stuffed bins are allowed
July 18, 201610 yr If you look under the rim of your bin there's a little round disc in one of the corners. That disc contains your address and records the weight of each load dispensed in the lorry.

July 18, 201610 yr I get there is a major landfill problem. But most people recycle. Those that do can't reduce the amount of stuff they have to throw away. So a slim bin will just result in more trips to the tip or more fly-tipping. Either way landfill demand won't reduce.

Thought that is what the green bin was for!
July 18, 201610 yr Really? Thought that is what the green bin was for! The little one is for food waste isn't it? I'm nervous that a refuse SWAT team are going to abseil through the window and put a cap in my ass.
July 18, 201610 yr Body parts are natural waste, biodegradable, so green bin. Bones go in the black one so make sure you strip the flesh
July 18, 201610 yr Soiled y backs? If you leave them out in the sun for a day or 2, they should firm up nicely and go in the cardboard bin.
July 18, 201610 yr Having brought us the slim bins, the council seem disinclined to take away the fat bins Edited July 18, 201610 yr by boltondiver
