My Dad has a pretty decent cherished number plate that he doesn't want anymore, it is Y1 GPP, I think he paid about 1K for it years ago.

 

Is it better to put the plate on retention and sell it on ebay? or is it better to sell to a cherished registration plate company?

I must admit, I never understand why people pay good money for a "private" plate.....especially when it really is a stretch to see what's so good about it.

 

There's some bellend who lives near me who pushes a 1 and a 3 together to make a B, I assume it's his initials that hes trying to spell out...it just looks shit.

I think the worst of the lot are BMW X5 drivers. Not only have they bought a car that's bigger than the average assault tank, not only does it come out of the factory with X5 stamped on it in big fuck off letters, but now Billy BMW owner wankface cockbutton seems to think the rest of the world need one last reminder about the fact his car - which for £40k has broken indicators - is an X5.

My mate has one on his Porsche so people know it's not a rental

Worked for someone who bought an M5 with 15K of 'extras'. Car had pride of place in the showroom but they wouldn't put his plate on 'til he was about to drive off FET 15H.

 

Still didn't have any indicators!

Cherished plates are not for me, the only person on the road who can't see the feckin things is the person who paid for it.
