Cherished Number Plate Advice

My Dad has a pretty decent cherished number plate that he doesn't want anymore, it is Y1 GPP, I think he paid about 1K for it years ago.

Is it better to put the plate on retention and sell it on ebay? or is it better to sell to a cherished registration plate company?

Thanks.

  • I must admit, I never understand why people pay good money for a "private" plate.....especially when it really is a stretch to see what's so good about it.   There's some bellend who lives near me w

I the Q7 the mahoosive one that makes yank pick-ups seem undersized?

Yes

But there's no more room inside it than there is in my estate car.

The Q5 is about the right size. The Q7 is for people who don't struggle for money but may have penis issues.

There used to be one parked on the 3rd floor of topp way multi storey every day. The back end was way out of the space.

I've never understood folk who spend that much on a 4x4 and don't get a range rover

I don't get why people buy 4x4's when the only off-roading they do is to badly mount the pavement outside school when dropping little [insert wanky pretentious name here] off.

there used to be one on a range fover round bolton, F4RTS

i'm not joking either

The 'mums taxi' thing gets me. They actually believe they are safer when all available evidence proves the exact opposite.

A pox on our roads (and especially in shopping centre car parks where you can't see past the fucking things when you have to reverse out of a parking spot).

They only do the school run and we all know that teachers are too precious to work in the snow.

Brian Rose does exactly that every morning at my lads school and parks on the yellow zig zags.

I've told the cunt I'm gonna smash his bastard teeth in if he does it again.

Which one of our players has a Mrs who drives a big Audi with the reg plate WAG 2?

That's always up near my parents. Will check out the bint next time she's around.

Agreed. They are pointless and its not exactly an exclusive club is it?

We have the same problem with obnoxiously large pickup trucks here.

There are genuinely people driving around in vehicles that require 4 parking spaces at the shop.

To be fair, a lot of them need the extra space for their bulbous arses, fat bastards.

I don't mind 4x4s to be honest though a woman used to have a Hummer round here a while ago. Proper handy on the local roads was that. Not seen it for a while so hopefully she's seen sense and got herself a fiesta or a ka

My nephews is T 13WFC,

It must just be me, but surely (as well as being illegal) pushing a 1 and a 3 together is a bit twattish.

If he's just got the plate as T13 WFC, then it doesn't say anything at all - if he has moved it around so that it reads as T 13WFC, then he'll no doubt get collared eventually and fined accordingly, for having an illegal plate......as well as being a bit silly

not if he is a mussi

I love the ones with big spacing or a randomly spaced plastic cap to change the number.  It's shit and surely they must know it is.

Looked at MA63NTA for my business. Was about £250. Ummmed and ahhhed, went back a couple of weeks later and it was £1750.

Never been a fan

Why though?

It clearly doesn't say Magenta, or even look like it does

That's even shitter than pushing letters together

Are you Salman Rushdie's Sandals?

Also....why are they called "cherished" number plates?

Also....why are they called "cherished" number plates?

Because Cherie Blair thought of the idea as a revenue raiser.
