I love a good moan, but I'm making real efforts to be more positive.

Noel Gallagher tickets sorted for Colwyn Bay in June. £18 in fees for an e-ticket makes BWFC's online fees look reasonable.

Also bought for the Proclaimers at Liverpool Philharmonic in October.

The Beatles : Get Back

The Peter Jackson documentary with 8 hours of previously unseen footage from the 'Let It Be' recording sessions. I cannot fucking wait to watch it all in one sitting.

I did an hour this morning

There'll just never be another band like them.

It's not exactly a controversial opinion, but they really are the best there'll ever be.

The way John looks at Paul when they're jamming..... it's the nearest I've come yet to turning gay. It's adorable.

I got dusty eyed last night when Paul was just twatting his bass rhyming nonsense off, Ringo and George were yawning then eventually get into it then John turns up late, picks up his guitar and gets stuck in

Just beautiful.

I'm on ep 2 tonight.

And anyone who says the beatles are over rated are just by their very definition try hard wankers who are wrong.

Is that the listed pub?

Or am I thinking of something else

Whilst incredibly excited to watch the Beatles Doc…. I’ve just gone back 30 years in my life to a trip to Manchester Academy. Unfortunately back then the ex got her purse robbed outside in the queue to get in. We didn’t bother going to the gig and went back to our local - where everyone had a whip round - folk did kind shit like that back then.

Roll on 30 years, ex, sadly no longer on the scene, got my chance to finally see The Levellers performing Levelling the Land at the same venue. Wow. Fucking wow. What a gig. Forgive my US parlance. They smashed it clean out of the fucking park.

Feeling fucking old now. I nearly passed out pogoing down the front after about 4-5 songs. Tell a lie, I was fucked after 1.

Fucking hell, the bit when Paul magics 'Get Back' up out of nowhere. It's like watching the slow emerging birth of a Demigod.

Wrote some brilliant songs .

Soundtrack to my Beaumont Arms years.

An 8 hour Beatles documentary sounds like summat Mossad came up with to aid them in their intelligence gathering efforts.

7 years they were going for.

And no one has come close

Only watched Episode 1.

Was saying to my Mrs - how I loved Gimme Some Truth - but didn’t think I’d ever heard The Beatles version - as the Wonderstuff did a great job with covering it. Been on Spotify this morning and it looks to me like they never recorded it - Lennon kept it for himself. Still good to hear them belting through an early version of it.

(already posted this in TV Shows)

Is there a sequel for a Wings album?

“They were soon to be joined by Stig O'Hara, a guitarist of no fixed hairstyle”, one of my favourite lines ever.

😆I have watched the film endlessly, so good.

I've never seen The Rutles or Spinal Tap.  Probably not worth it now.  Any road, this Beatles doc -where is it? Netflix or Amazon?

Wash your mouth out. Go and watch them both immediately.

Watching the beginning of the beatles doc just reminded me how perfectly done The Rutles spoof is, and as for Spinal Tap, I don't doubt nothing much has changed with the egos and stupidty of rock stars.

The Stonehedge set is worth the admission price alone.

Offspring are sound checking

dem drums are taking some beating

Only the band Wings could have been.

I've had Get Up and Go in my head all this week, superb stuff.
