  • Ah, those lads who wanted their country back , upset by foreigners who came over on boats pinching  all the houses and land and changing the native culture and not assimilating into it.  thought you

  • Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he's not even a proper bummer.

  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

Vowed that I wouldn’t watch another series if they did one. No way could they carry it on. It would be shit. So happy to be utterly wrong. TV gold those two

Yeah, but i think it was meant to be, its one of them things you could watch a few times and clock different bits you hadn't picked up on the first time. Tongue in cheek cheesy but i thought ot was quite funny.

Ah, right, fair enough.

But it's filmed in Bolton and I apparently hate Bolton because I moved away to an idyllic neighbourhood to be an elitist woke snowflake.

Royle family being shown on Monday evenings on BBC (I think).

Absolute quality. Mrs never watched it first time round and she's loving it.

Old school, one episode a week.

The English - passed me by at the end if last year but if you like a thumping good Western, it's top notch, Lynn.

I assume it's in English.

Watched the first few episodes of Hannibal on Netflix.

I really can’t make my mind up if I should carry on. It’s great in parts, and then the plot just seems to have been written by the people who wrote Neighbours in others.

Good line up in it though. Anyone done the lot?

Really enjoyed Hatton, sad how it all turned out but a great story and some funny one liners in it too.

Mads Mikkelsen?

I really enjoyed them. Pity it didn't get past 3 seasons.....

Yeah, he’s very good.

I’ll stick with it.

Theres just some parts that seem really odd and a bit weak

Shhhhhh. Only watched 2 so far. Finishing with the bath scene last night.

Got visions of Jamie’s little brother doing something pretty major.

Hmmmm, I loved the show, but the Xmas specials were invariably piss weak, like most Xmas specials tend to be.

Sounds good, will need to dig it out.

recently did Quarterback on Netflix that's been mentioned on here

very good, insightful

made me realise just what a tough, demanding position it is both physically and mentally, possibly one of the hardest positions in sport, certainly team sports

the other thing that impressed me was Partick Mahommes new house

he came across a decent, sound guy

as did Cousins, but what a massive gimp / stiff he is, in a nice, endearing way

speaking of quarterbacks, last night watch Johnny Football, about a lad called Johnny Manziel who had the potenital to be one of the best QBs ever, but decided to piss it all up the wall instead

very good

Johnny Football is mentle

the story is anyway, thought the documentary was a bit thrown together.

Reckon be few more of these stories now the rules on endorsements to college players have been relaxed.

Might be worth tuning in to Dispatches on Channel 4 tomorrow night... 👀

Is there more to it? I'd never heard of him till a mate recommended it, so that documentary is all I know about him, but seemed to get his story across
