Sounds like it might come full circle though, first series was about whether Brody had been turned or not, looks like this could have similar tones. Only just finished season 3 (I think) where they are in Syria. I tend to watch it in bursts 6 months apart! Her facial expressions do my box in. Managed to watch MANHUNT: Unabomber (8 episodes) over the last few nights. Thought it was pretty decent. Worth a watch if you are in-between larger box-sets. Quote
jules_darby Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Vikings season 6 first few episodes on Amazon. Strong claim but Vikings could be GOAT for me Quote

Smiley Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Sticks and Stones on ITV this week - 3 parter. Some of it was a little bit beyond belief. But that said, covered a great topic of bullying in the office place. The bullies were proper evil cunts (although both wimmin' would have got it!). Quote

Couldn't work out if it was supposed to be serious or a black comedy. If the BBC had done it it'd have been so much better - like all dramas. Quote

Smiley Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 But agree - the scene outside the restaurant with the taxi, pyjamas, etc - that was a little too comedy and light-hearted. Quote

I just wasn't having they changed his clock so he thought it was 8pm rather than 7pm and he didn't realise he'd lost an hour. Couldn't take it seriously after that. I'm a big fan of the bird who was also on the latest Partridge show though. Quote

Marc505 Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Not sure why but BBC 2 seems to be having a Heston Blumenthal night. They're recreating the Fat Duck as it was in 2001 and "dressing up like it's 2001". Initial thought was you what it's not exactly ages ago that. Then you realise... Quote
jmjhb Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 Witcher out on Netflix today. I did read a Guardian article about the toxic masculinity and the level of nudity in it, so it's already better than I expected to be honest. Quote
ErnestTurnip Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 Watched that thing on Netflix about killing cats, there's some odd fuckers about. Also odd and a bit telling that people on social media are up in arms over a few kittens but don't seem too arsed about a dismembered chinese dude. Quote

Not in Crawley Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 Watched the first one today of the Witcher, some of the dialogue is a bit cringeworthy. Quote

The footage of the kittens almost left me in tears. The thought of the man being murdered didn't. I'll see how it turns out, but regardless, I'd love to have 5 minutes alone with whoever thought it was funny to vacuum the life out of 2 kittens. Edited December 22, 2019 by DazBob Quote
Rudy Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 The Witcher. Dont like to compare shows to other shows, but it’s hard not to with this. First episode isn’t really gripping me Quote
Smiley Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 3 and a bit episodes into crime drama Traces on Alibi. Good to see Partington & Bolton being used in the scenes even though it’s set in Dundee. Quote

Never played the game but seems like I’d enjoy it. On the Jedi Fallen order now. Belting. I digress 3 episodes in, it’s pretty good, the combat scenes are excellent Quote
