Barnsley apparently after Jake Beesley at Burton to replace DKD. He’d be ok for us surely, he seems to be improving all the time?

Already turned down a significant bid from Bradford for him. Barnsley coffers would stretch a bit longer now though you’d assume

A meltdown over Hardie is surely about to begin

Iles advises he’s off to Huddersfield and we’ve “shifted our attention” 🤔

I hope we get someone else in, but do feel it may have been too obvious, i.e. previously scored loads, same manager, same result? But I'm a cynic so questionable if it works like that.

A little bit more worrying he doesn't want to come and work with SS again though, at a team better places than Huddersfield??

They may well have just offered him more money.

Fuck him, we move.

Believe he’s not going to be fit for another couple of weeks too so it might’ve just been getting a bit too pricey

also think there’s an obligation to buy at the end of the season

This is the big risk of leaving it last minute relying on other clubs. He's probably had his medical, had all the things in place waiting for the green light but if a club comes in offering more money & a better deal then leaves us scrambling in the bargain bin. Not a chance we've just "moved on" this late, Huddersfield are known to overpay especially last summer... we just can't compete with their yank owner financially. Wouldn't surprise me if we loan Kenny now Celtic are allowing him out on loan

Seems it is us who have moved on from Hardie, not the other way around......Perhaps another is now in our reach

On the Hardie one, i'm not exactly disappointed tbf as hardly prolific

Hope we dont end with a sack of shit like etete at the last minute again.

His Dad Paul was a decent player, but played 150 games for Wigan so unfortunately for his son that makes him ineligible to play for Bolton.

Played 500 games as a defender, plenty in top flight.  Jake Beesley looks spitting image of him.

Compared to who?

Consistently averaging 1 in 3 for about 9 years, I don't think there'll be many strikers moving today who've scored more.

Not if the reported asking price is correct

Johnny Kenny seems to have some legs again

There's a reason why we have chosen not to pursue Hardie and with it being a loan and probably well affordable there's a reason why.

Fans getting angry because of Huddersfield but they're the least club I'd look at enviously from a recruitment standpoint.

Got them to pay a hefty fee for Charles and they also paid 3 million for Joe Taylor who's loaned out at Wigan.

Yeh they’ve chucked a shit load of money on strikers recently and non have worked

even Alfie May has been poor. Similar number of sending offs to goals

No better than Dion's record was.

It sounds like we've waited as long as possible with this injury he's (hardie) carrying and pivoted last minute. I read somewhere on Twatter that Parky has mentioned Hardie being injured until March. If that's the case, I understand switching targets. Guess its just frustrating that its 4 hours before the deadline.

Surprised that schuey hasnt had more influence re hardie

Couple of weeks before he can train again I think so your talking a month before he even gets on the bench

Club seem to think very highly of Kenny, couldn't tell you why, but they shifted from Hardie.

Whether that's because it got too pricey I don't know.

Yeah so I get it. Don't know anything at all about Kenny and how good of a player he is but at least he could go straight into Saturdays squad.

Kenny turned us down before so doesn't really want to be here so why go back in for him?
