We have been very lucky with injuries in that department and until a few weeks ago we had Forrester and JDC for cover. To maintain being the best defence in the league we will now need to almost totally avoid injuries and suspensions. Further cover would have provided better insurance against things like that.

I guess they may have someone lined up as a free agent or they have seen enough of Lewis Temple and trust him. If not I think it is an oversight. I feel like there is some weight in this thought process, but the fact we are switching between 3/4 at the back does give us some flexibility. Also worth noting we can still sign free agents after the deadline.

Christie can do CB and RB. Taylor can do LB and CB. Trouble is the minute one of them is unavailable you have lost cover for two positions not just the one. It is cutting corners. As I said before, maybe they already trust Temple enough.

We have also moved to playing 3 centre halves at the same time as releasing a centre half. Temple was on bench Saturday so no idea if he is good enough yet but he is the cover we now have. We have cover at RWB with Tutu and Christie but personally would have preferred JDC. Similar concerns at LWB where Conways defensive game is something teams are now exploiting. However I think overall the squad looks stronger with the three attack minded players coming in and potentially Kenny.

No idea what paperwork though. Just going off something Iles said in a podcast I had on in the background this morning.

February 2Feb 2 Apparently Hardie won't be fit for possibly the next 6 weeks, and also receives specialist treatment for a long term back problem. No wonder Wrexham wanted shut permanently, and equally no wonder we went elsewhere.
February 2Feb 2 I hope Fergal has just sent someone a fax that says "We would like to extend our transfer window by 2 hours please. Signed: Fergal Sharkey Harkin" Edited February 2Feb 2 by Cheese

Wouldn't even be arsed if we go with what we've got. More than happy with Blackett-Taylor and Apter. Burstow will start firing again soon, and Dalby has been superb recently. No idea about Rodrigues, but all the armchair pundits seemed to think he was a belting signing a couple of days ago... Edited February 2Feb 2 by Cheese

Similar mate. While it would be nice, if rather get cover in the back line. You'd have no idea we were 3rd if you'd have been reading the comments today
February 2Feb 2 Heard we've signed Jason Kenny instead. At least he's good at corners and going round the outside.
February 2Feb 2 Apparently, the "deal sheet" thing that extends the window by 2 hours has only been brought in this season for EFL clubs in order to align with the Premier League, which explains @L/H White's confusion, as he's an absolute disgrace Liverpool traitor scumbag. https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/25816391.transfer-deadline-day-deal-sheets-explained-efl-clubs/ Edited February 2Feb 2 by Cheese
February 2Feb 2 Warning - reference to xG So far this season we have conceded the fewest goals and our xG conceded is just as low. Our defence is not the issue Converting our chances and scoring more goals is the obvious issue - and we’ve lost ACD and Forss. No surprise with that in mind that we’re signing players in our front 4 and not the defence (I get the point about cover but technically we’ve got 2 right backs, 4 centre backs and 2 left backs).
