Been patient with Parky so far but if Plan A fails most of the time,  why does he persist, when even the most uneducated football fan can see that it doesn’t work.

Tactically, inept.

Against WBA he persisted with no sub at 0-2, until 70 mins. Set pieces are a joke, so many 6’ + players and yet we rarely threaten. What are we doing on the training ground?

Beginning to think that Parky is  a massive factor in our terrible results.

FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Just a thought, seeing as you mentioned set pieces

It's hardly on him that the taker, with a dead ball, and ten yards, can't hit a white shirt a few times in a hundred

I think Oz would have made a bigger impact if he was playing off Madine.

Set pieces are where average/below-average teams need to grab goals from. Our inability to cross a ball (dead or otherwise) is killing us.

When a 17yr old making his first start is taking corners, and not particularly making a good job of it, it speaks volumes about the state we're in....and if Parky has signed most of those players & trains them then he carries much of the blame for me.

Seriously, you think training/coaching affects a 20 odd year old pros ability to reach with a corner?

Nah, I'm not having it

Practice certainly does & I seriously doubt much practice is being put in.

Beginning?

Course it is!

Surely that is one of the few things that can be improved by training and practicing during the week until it improves.

Big Sam has forged a successful managerial career on the basis of firstly getting divers in to get the free kick (Diouf) and then getting a good delivery and goals of set pieces!

One time, everyone was shit scared of our set piece plays.....they knew what was coming, but could do fuck all about it!.......So yes, free kicks are all about how they are managed, both on and off the pitch.

Which is why I find it hard to believe PP scouted and targeted him as a summer signing, given he wasn't too interested in playing Clough in his proper position in either spell

But KA says they're all PPs transfer targets

So dunno what PP was thinking signing him

Last year we had a goal poacher and a tiny playmaker, the former sparingly used and the latter bombed out completely.

They were then replaced with another sparingly used (until the deal went to shit) goal poacher and an even smaller playmaker who's been bombed out.

Seems bizarre. Taking it at face value (that he identifies and signs the players), it seems deep down Parky does have the desire to play better football, he just loses faith in it incredibly quickly.

Probably not his signings

Ken’s

Ken said not, though I do wonder.

Perhaps ken should become manager too. This one's not much use.

Why not. As long as he doesn't pay himself!

I must’ve missed that 10 minutes or so in the last 3 and a half years whilst I was at the bar

He could pick himself and still get more wins than Parkinson

Go up front alongside a new striker, Marcus Bent.

Are we out of this transfer embargo? Seems very very quiet on the transfer front.

Can’t see a couple of last minute signings that nobody else wants, making any difference. With Parkinson in charge we are going down.

Kenny said we'd have a squad capable of staying up by the end of this window

He meant in league one

Surely not, if kane is right about January wages.

To clarify; we might be out of embargo, but can't see anyone coming in, unless someone is sold.

Half a million short, my guy tells me.

Same person tells me Burnley and Brighton are in for Connell. Dunno if it's true

Is your guy called Valerie?
