Parkinson didn’t play to his or anyone’s strengths. We really kicked on after he left as well.

Of course. .....another worldbeater who was held back by Parkinson.

Strangely, none of them were much good before they joined us & none of them are much good after they leave us, but that's probably PP's fault as well.

Cos they're cheap gambles

A fair bit cheaper than Wyke and Garner, no doubt

Anyway, just read iles article and it seems it was always intended FG would pay his wages until January

Cant remember ever reading that before

Just about to post the same.

The article also says that Iles doesn't know if the Transfer Restrictions that had been applied prevented the fee even being paid in the first place!  Matthews and O'Neil's signings went on to be completed once the restrictions were lifted don't forget

Also the fact that FG were always going to pay his wages until the January wages make's Vince statement about "they haven't been paying his wages for the last four months, we have" a bit duplicitous to say the least as that was what was agreed to in the first place!!!

(No mention as to where the No Ken Do profits went to either in his article).

Best of luck to Doidge probably he's better away from both clubs.

Doidge did well before and after he left. So I’d say that’s a fair assesment.

So why sign em then?

Let’s be honest PP only wanted another in a Madine mould. He has proven he can’t work with anything else. No idea why we signed doidge other than king ken constructing a deal which meant we had a free player for 4 months.

Absolutely. I don't get this idea though that if a player turns out to be bobbins then it's either all we could afford or a Ken signing.

Parky identified Proctor and Darby as players from his previous club he thought could do a job.  He saw something in Chris Taylor.  He couldn't find a way to get the team to play to ALFs strengths, the only natural finisher in the squad or a way to get Ozthumer in the starting line up.

When he was told he had some money he 'spent' it on Doidge.

Not good enough imo

The one Clayton Donaldson will be setting on fire this year.

Haha.

He is the player with the least amount of technical ability I have ever seen.

If anyone doesn't agree then they have never watched him during the half time kick-around that the subs have.

He's also the only player, be it professional or amateur, when during a game, after repeated attempts to get a ball under control, just give up and fall on the ball so he can trap it with his stomach.

L2 which is one below ours. Hardly a jump into the unknown.

Hang on we signed him as a championship club. He was what, 27? How many 27 year old league two players do you think are good enough for championship football?

He worked just fine with Nahki Wells.

He’s 26 currently. Wasn’t that the age drogba was plucked from obscurity.

For a few others I’d argue:

lambert

vardy

Klose
