We ain't been there for 20 years, so it will be a new ground for most of those under 30.

 

I've personally been there 5 times but the lads never been, so we go, because we go together.

 

It ain't the best away day, it's difficult to get to, and a shitty little ground, but victory always tastes sweeter somehow, the less that are there, and the further you travel.

 

Btw, SU have sold 1300 so far 4 Southend 2mrr.

 

We'll sell very close to 1k I would guess, based on this seasons away followings, and that ain't bad.

These lot have been doing quite well recently. We'll have to be strong and positive; they were quite aggressive up here and presumably they'll be the same again.

It was on my list to do but cant make it. Feb, March and April have some quality looking Saturday aways (unless we go on a cup run...) so holding back for them.

Went to the league cup match about 1977

I spend quite a bit of time in Southend with work and it's a bit of a dive when it comes to pubs. Leigh on Sea is supposed to be a great place for boozing and it's only 3 miles in a taxi to the ground. There are 3 or 4 pubs on the seafront that look half decent. 

This place has a couple of pool tables.
