If he helps get us out, I won't mind how scruffy he is!

I mean it wasn't just the scruffyness....

But let me ask a question - hypothetically we leave without a deal and hypothetically there are shortages of some short life medicines - do you see the resultant problems as just "tough luck" for those involved and worth it to get out? In which case what level of problems are acceptable? Or is it "Brexit at literally any cost"?

I'm not a subscriber to "tough shit".

If we leave without a deal, I don't expect shortages, so no resultant problems caused by shortages. So, my considered answer to the hypothetic would be that I would feel sorry for them.

Whilst there may/not be some short term issues, the prize for the country, in my view, is in the future. I think the continuation of Project Fear, is that it will be armageddon in the short term, and especially centred on financial matters.

I can see you've got your excuses nicely lined up, genius.

You cant blame Jezza for this chaos at the moment, it's entirely caused by the Tories.

Biggest pile of I'll considered horse shit going.

Brexit was never a party issue. Free votes for all MPs.

Cross party support of, and criticism of brexit and efforts in getting a deal.

Doesn't matter who gets the deal organised, some MPs have made it quite clear they won't vote for it nor any other.

Now we have the Labour party saying they'll get a deal then recommend it be rejected.

Can just imagine Keith Hill telling his opposing manager "let us score one, then we'll let you bag two at the other end".

The mess in the fault of parliament, and a number of parliamentarians. From all parties.

Do we have anyone on here who lives or spends a lot of time in ireland, specifically near the border with NI?

If that goes back to a hard border, the whole thing will be an absolute fucking shitstorm.

But for the NI border we’d probably have left a year ago. Because of it, I don’t think we ever can. It will kick off like absolute stink over there.

Why will it go back to a hard border? No one has said they will erect any.

I bet you've got Sadiq Khan on the list of people to blame before Johnson and Gove. Quite frightening how a sensible bloke like you can be so blinded by what has actually happened.

Apparently Brexit was caused by Eric Joyce, twatting some Tories late one night

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/4X5NM75NQ7krRC6j3rkBKmz/did-a-drunken-brawl-cause-brexit-and-four-other-big-questions

In 2012 a backbench Labour MP called Eric Joyce was enjoying a night of heavy drinking in the House of Commons. Late in the evening he declared that there were “too many effing Tories” in the bar and started a mass brawl, headbutting and punching fellow politicians before being restrained by four policemen who ultimately stuck him in the cells. This incident involving an MP being bad led to an internal Labour selection scandal, which in turn prompted a reform of the party, choosing a new leader. This aided the election of the lifelong Eurosceptic Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader - which some Remain campaigners blame for Brexit

I've been in Southern Ireland on business this week, I go fairly regularly. Not a single person is under any illusions what no deal will mean. It will be an open goal for those wanting to take us back to the 80's.

Typically well considered response from him. Must be another trained negotiator with a first class degree.

Please don't take offence but you're not really worth debating with.

Exactly.

The Irish situation makes a hard exit unimaginable.

It will be throwing the situation back 30 years.

Hardly forward thinking.

Sadiq Khan isn't on my list. I never think of him. I sometimes start a list, but can't be bothered.

Thanks for the compliment, though.

Yep but a price worth paying for the current government and that is a grim situation.

Jesus we are now at the level of criticising how people dress?

Should he wear a £5000 suit ?

Pathetic.

My main issue was his body language not his state of dress.

His nervous tick as he's approached, followed by pretending to not give a damn. His lanyard tapping gives him away.

But I was referring more to his attitude - not his dress.

It was a hypothetical list, if you had such a list it would put you on a par with the PM on brexit planning.

What has happened? Well the short answer is that a Tory PM allowed a referendum to appease his own party and secure his own position but never planned for the leave result. His colleagues running the campaign lied their way to a narrow majority using immigration as a very successful scare mongering tool. At no point in any of that process was the good of the country ever considered, only the Tory party and individual power trips.

I do think that you have a part of the picture there.

With some notable and interesting omissions, perhaps out of your position on the matter?

This referendum, that everyone voted to have except the SNP. Wonder why?

Damn right the Tories wanted to protect themselves. Nowt wrong with that.

Just like all the other parties did. To keep UKIP down, and protect their seats.

Did the Liberals abstain ?

How about the Labour MP conveniently filming this ? Shouting someone down whilst complaining about use of language.

Every one knows that there wont be a hard border....... except you.

You KNOW that?

Even with no deal, you have concrete proof that’s the case?

You need to go over to Drogheda and inform the residents there, as they don’t know about that.

To be fair to the MP, he seems to sincerely regret the incident. Perhaps because he’s come out looking like a tit.

Cummings; “I don't know who you are”!
