Time taken. I quantified my measure in my earlier post. It must have been “easier”’than anybody else’s trade deal with the EU no?

Why have you added with the EU to your post ?

In terms of time taken to conclude it clearly was.

Out of intetest, if this is the quickest, what has it beaten into second place?

I really don't have a clue.

If I was to guess, as it was suggested the Japan deal was a new one, I'd guess that is quicker than this EU one. Might be wrong though

It’s Xmas eve so I won’t be researching trade deals for their time taken

I had a weird dream about Brexit last night - so it must be on my mind.

Dreamt I was coming back from abroad to a border crossing (like a proper border crossing - like Checkpoint Charlie or something). There were soldiers manning the crossing in grey overcoats.

In my dream I was feeling a weird twinge of national pride that I was coming home over this new border. Soldier asked me for my passport (which was still maroon) and waved me through. All felt a bit authoritarian.

I'm not drawing any conclusions from it but God knows what's going on in my subconscious? :)

Well if you thought that was weird I was honestly listening to Oliver’s Army by Elvis Costello as I read that.

On a separate theme anyone getting angry about Seed potatoes is going in a pot.

Still got the work to do but the contracts are won as were conditional on a trade deal with no tarrifs on our goods

So quickest and easiest are the same ? And as stated given we have no idea when any negotiations started or when others ended or how many hours went into any of them I am surprised that someone who claims to take everything so literally is making such assumptions.

Not that people will really care, but in reality, the true measure of how long something takes would be the amount of man hours put in.

Because I wanted to add that in? That ok with you boss?

Is that 100% guaranteed now? I really hope so, as it'll certainly help me out. I've not been able to read the agreement yet though sadly

Its only taken so long because so many flatdicks were involved

I heard the opposite, some bird spilled the coffee she was serving on the bit about fishing so they thought fuck it we will leave that out and seed potatoes , hey presto deal was done.

I’m only talking about my industry and going on what has filtered through internally. Maybe I’m being a bit presumptuous.

but please forgive me. Ive listened to the usual suspects advising weve gone no deal, it’s what Boris et al always wanted, food and medicine shortages and no clean drinking water (that’s made up). So I’m quite pleased we’ve reached a landing point here.

Be some very sad faces right now that we will , it seems be ok. Strange way to live their lives but upto them.
