New one from South Africa here. No travel ban. Yet.

I thought I just heard on the radio that we've imposed some restrictions (I wasn't  listening properly though, so might be wrong)

Saw a decent enough question today so will put it on here.

If it was France leaving the EU in Jan how would you think they should be treated?

In what respect? As in this scenario with the trucks currently or deal wise?

Aye all of it.

Trucks we would, I think have done the same. And so we should. They were right to do what they did IMO.

in terms of a deal it’s difficult as we don’t know what the French position actually is. We hear about fishing etc but until we know , if we ever will, it’s tough to answer I think

No easy answer was my thought. Obviously you want the best deal for yourselves and why wouldn’t you. I wonder how much we’d concede though to keep the trade wheels rolling.

I appreciate they as a nation bring something different to the party than we do etc.

They currently have the sovereign choice to be part of the union. If they leave, that would be a sovereign decision.

Does no one own a dictionary?

Nah

I may take definitions too literally perhaps.

Sovereign relates to - ultimately - the will of the people.
