As shit as truss is, johnson doing fuck all for years hasnt helped

if he had done fuck all it would have been an improvement. He sacked anyone who opposed him and surrounded himself by the worst cabinet ever seen until the current one. The drain of talent has left us with Truss/Kwarteng.

Noted. Just can’t help that feel the Brexit government has made all this happen.

Brexit was 6 years ago and this current crisis has nothing to do with Brexit.

Keep digging

If for no other reason than it decimated the tory ranks, some of this is on brexit

Plus the bankers we are so scared of losing have been off to Amsterdam in droves

Nothing to do with brexit though, oh no

Plus brexit was the only way Bozo was ever getting the gig

Nothing negative will ever have anything to do with Brexit, even though you were so willing to accept any negative consequences.

Interesting to read the bond buying wasn’t a decision by the MPC they were actually going to do the reverse and sell.

But it was not a decision made by the Bank's Monetary Policy Committee, who were informed of the decision after it was made by the Bank's financial experts. It actually comes as the Committee had been set to enact the exact reverse policy - selling government debts. The process was due to start next week and has been delayed.

I know it's 8 minutes long but worth watching to the end.

The daft fucker is doing a 1 hour - 8 til 9 - round of bbc local radio

She just needs to fuck off

This really is bad as it gets, the knock effect to Pension funds that affects virtually everyone could be horrendous. I am thinking of cash a lump sum out and paying off the mortgage.

She's just said, more than once, that no family would pay more than £2500 for energy this year.

She's a fucking idiot or a fucking liar. Too early to tell yet.

BOTH

Cumings on twitter during the leadership election said Mordant was a bit dim but normal, Truss brighter but bonkers. I think I'd rather than someone thicker but at least tethered to reality.

BBC Kent hammered her on the calls, and that's a true blue county if ever there was one.

She's fucked it.

Continuing down the same road and I will be surprised is she or the government last 6 months. If this run on the market continues I foresee a U turn on the budget, figures released from OBR to say its costed and doable... and an interest rate rise before the MPC meets in November.

My feed is just full of clips of Truss getting slapped about on various local radio shows.

Can imagine the scenes when she gets back to the office like something out of The Thick Of It, but with less wit.

She was consistent though.

It's good to see these regional editors going in two-footed, because you just know the likes of Kuenssberg would just pad it with a load of soft questions

Depends what the BOE’s intervention does. As an aside, inflation in the Eurozone is almost the same as ours. 9.1%to 9.9% U.K.

Thought we were supposed to be better off without the EU dragging us down though?

Piss take of Truss

She’s just been torn several new arses by a load of Alan Partridges.

We are officially in Keith Hill territory.
