The budget has had an impact but other factors are to blame.

Can't read your link as it requires a subscription. Assuming the "other factors" are global, does it explain why Sterling has fallen 3 times as far as the Euro?

She’s still here. Expect a visit to Kyiv soon👍

Imagine the conversation, one leader hiding in a secret bunker after getting flak from all sides, the other running Ukraine.

If you look over 3 months it’s 8% Euro against 11% for the pound.

It varies. The trend is the same though.

This was 3 weeks ago. The FT article stated that the ECB would raise rates by 0.75% in October and another similar rise before the end of the year.

And what is projection of our rates ?

Depends what the BOE’s intervention does. As an aside, inflation in the Eurozone is almost the same as ours. 9.1%to 9.9% U.K.

They are set to announce changes to the aid package. Ukraine will be sending aid to the UK from Oct 1st.

Lets look back to 2010

Dollar 1.6

But, potentially even more damning, what was the Euro

If i was truss. Id be upping my security

Somebody is going to for her

She crashes peoples pensions, she will never be safe on the streets

Not defending either Boris or Truss but neither had the start they would have liked. 2 months after the election, COVID. 2 days after Truss met the queen, she died. I doubt any Prime Minister has had the start they have had.

If anything, I'd say that was a right result for her, the perfect start, as it gave her a week or so of breathing space to get shirt sorted out.....which she clearly didn't take advantage of

I know you don’t trust the EU but when do you stop trusting this government. Surely they’ve screwed you worse?

Best exchange rate: 1.2336 EUR on 29 Jun 2010.

Average exchange rate in 2010: 1.166 EUR.

Worst exchange rate: 1.0984 EUR on 10 Mar 2010.

I will take 1.23. :)

1.18 and 1.5 on election day fwiw

But, lets not forget the euro is a basket case

I remembered it as being higher tbh
