I disagree, but that's what actually happened. I doubt anyone voting Leave expected us to stay in any of these schemes. In fact, I reckon most would have been apoplectic if May had announced our intention to remain in any of them, rather than repeating  "Leave means Leave" for 3 years.

Sorry to add to the high level of pedantry on this thread.

If at the time of the vote we had not agreed terms to stay in Horizon, it did mean we would have to leave until the terms were agreed.

So you honestly believe some people who voted Leave thought we would only be leaving the EU Parliament? If so, that's even more stupid...

No. I didnt say that. In fact, I havent made reference to what anybody thought, only what would and/or could have happened. Because that would be the most stupid thing to say.

I'm saying that by voting Leave, it didnt mean we automatically would therefore leave every EU backed organisation.

The question on the ballot wasn't "Should the UK Remain a member of the EU, or Leave the EU but retain membership of certain EU institutions and treaties depending on what we negotiate in the coming years?". It was "Should the UK Remain a member of the EU, or Leave the EU?".

This is going nowhere so we'll just have to agree to disagree.

When it looked like we were just going to crash out with No Deal overnight, but the "Remoaners" stopped it at the last minute? Possibly.

Well it did, didn't it. Or we wouldn't be having to gradually re-join all the schemes we left.

Apparently, the Entire UK left all of the EU organisations, so therefore NI could not have been in the Customs Union for a period of time.

I don't remember seeing all the queues at the borders on teh news when they brought customsin.

It must of happened, Cheese said thats what happened.

Or maybe he was wrong.
