McVey on Any Questions on radio 4 now is quite the listen. Just barefaced lying now. Not a bit of truth in what's she's saying. How did we fall so far?

The data from April is of no use in this debate. So let’s get that out of the Way.

Again, the reason I asked is because I know some lads who have been laid off because there’s not as many asylum seekers where they are. Maybe they were laid off for another reason who knows (I know what my guess would be) but you land LW seek convinced that nothing is being done to clear the backlog. Now seeing as though the PM has made it clear he wants the backlog cleared by the end of the year (maybe a bit optimistic) you would think the other parties would be all over this, they don’t seem to be, yet you and LW are. I’ll put it down to you lying……again.

Can you post the latest data you've got then?

Yep you’re on full Mongolian mode again.

Why would I be posting data, what am I lying about?

Genuine question , would you stop them at Blackpool if they carried on and wanted to get to Ireland ?
would you want them stopped by the authorities and kept in camps there or would you rather they were just let go to be Irelands problem ?

Id blown their dinghies up for them and give them a push off.

....But if Ireland said piss off and towed them all back then Id have to think of another plan.

My town already houses over 200 in the middle of a holiday zone btw.

And they are moving another similar amount to Weeton Barracks just up the road.

What do we do once they are full?

You said the data from April was of no use, so I had to assume you had some more recent data? If you don't, then by your extremely loose interpretation of the word, you're lying. 🤷‍♂️

“Our government is choosing not to clear the back log”

That’s the claim you’re agreeing with. April data is pointless to that claim.

Crack on and post some more recent data then. Or are you lying?

By the way, where did those 4 security lads work? Or are you lying about that as well?

Are you feeling unwell?

No. Are you?

All I would like to see is some data that backs up your claim. I’m guessing the backlog is being reduced hence the silence from the other parties. You and your mate are obviously just lying. Imagine having to lie about a shit show. Weird

You did. 🤷‍♂️ Otherwise, why would you mention some lads getting laid off?

‘4 lads laid off at a processing site’

’ you’re all lying’

’show me your data’

Someone seems a bit moody tonight. All we did was emphasise how much of a shit show it is.

You’d think it would be something we could all agree on…

💯 but why would you want me to agree with something that’s just been made up?

The stats are all lies apparently, because 4 anonymous lads got laid off from an un-named site in an un-named location.

What stats 😂 I’m still waiting to see some .

Second Big Short reference today...to be fair, I usually watch this film once a month!

Anyway, this scene always seems to resonate with the immigrant debate on here

Steve Carrell looks like he's wearing a fat suit

Which reminds me of when he wore one in the office

Glad the debate seems to have raised to a high standard.

Probably did to look more like the bloke he played.

God, its a belting film.

That and Moneyball I think I could just watch on a loop and be perfectly content.

The book that the BS is based on is also a cracking read - makes the financial crash actually understandable to layman's like myself.

Never seen it

Not sure why not given the cast

Seen moneyball

Very good

But I struggle to take Jonah hill seriously, keep expecting him to make a cock joke or something

Same with Jason Bateman

Is the Metropole still full?

It’s not a case of proving everything with ‘data’ and graphs.

It’s blatantly obvious (to me & many others) that the government have played political games with immigration policy. Cutting skilled Home Office staff; replacing them with less skilled staff; wasting money on utterly pointless policies… The list could go on.

All very deliberate measures that they knew would result in a huge backlog.

Even now, they’re making a mess of shrinking it and creating more problems down the line.

I think if the Tories were making any proper dent in the backlog, we'd know all about it because they wouldn't be shy in letting us know
