Folk have been going all the time, but just not fast enough.

Obviously Rwanda has gone, but no new legislation has been introduced as yet.

The actions are carried out by civil servants at the home office, according to instructions/laws.

Hopefully something new and more stringent will come along. But even if it does, those pesky lawyers will be picking at it.

There is no magic legislation to stop it. People are coming to claim asylum. That is legal btw. They aren’t illegal in the eyes of international law. They come here we process them if they are a genuine case they stay if not they are returned from where they came.

We may well try third country processing but I don’t see how that will significantly cut numbers. Rwanda was an expensive waste of time.

The only way is to either stop the trade by taking down the gangs. Requires huge international effort and may or may not ultimately be possible.

However this is a global problem. People are rocking up in boats all over.

Out of the box international solution would be to throw loads of money (I mean loads) at some Middle East countries to found some new Mecca type cities like Dubai with international agreement to send all able migrants there to build and then populate them.  Create loads of new dwellings to house migrants and build new modern cities for tourism and commerce.

How can over 11,000 returned this year be inaction? You’re making a big issue of 55. I don’t get it.🤷‍♂️

Where is the 11,000 returned this year from ? Is it last 12 months or since Jan ?

Not doubting the number just wondering what the source and detail is.

Wasn’t the issue with the wind rush scandal that many had lived here for decades or were born here?

It was you who brought up the Vietnamese repatriation as some sort of victory for the new government. As you say, a safe country with a recent agreement to return illegals.

Do not go gentle into that good night Boby, I totally respect you are going down swinging. The rest of us will enjoy a moment of political calm and investment in public services.

Policing Labour Crimes?

Looks like it won't be long before Starmer gets his first big red cross. Big tax hikes coming. Paving the way by crying poverty ("far worse than we thought").

Watching closely.

These five mates of Earth Father from JSO who have been sent down? Are they changing their minds on the acceptability of oil products now? I am thinking specifically of petroleum jelly.

It's not often we see such clear cut examples of class prejudice publicly admitted to but this one's a cracker

Bit odd to obsessively talk about someone you’ve put on ignore no?

Shutting down a motorway could have killed someone. Personally, I’m delighted they’ve been sentenced. Hopefully they will be out doing a heavy bout of community service before too long.

Meanwhile, the government are ramping up our renewable sector. Rather than ramping up oil & gas.
