So less energy costing more and we get to destroy vast areas of the countryside to please bedwetters, who ironically complain about the environment.

The problem with imposing a community order is that the defendants had repeatedly stated their intention to continue committing criminal offences

And at least one of the defendants, if not more, was already subject to, and thus in breach of, a community order

Community orders can only ever be effective if the person the order is imposed on has respect for the law, and these defendants clearly feel their cause supersedes it

Renewables don't cost more, once economies of scale are reached.

Recently, the wholesale price dropped below that of fossil fuel generated leccy.

The concept of insufficient energy is also flawed- if we didn't have enough traditional power stations we wouldn't have had sufficient supply. 

The main issue is arguably the lack of balance in that not enough emphasis is placed on energy storage systems to smooth out supply and demand.

Turbines are often turned off when there is oversupply as it's easier than doing similar with a gas system.

Whether by battery, hydrogen, water/hep, or others, the ability to store energy is available.

Moreover, fossil fuels won't last forever, and will become uneconomical to extract in time, so alternatives have to be sought. That's not taking into account pollution. 

Whether this latest idea is workable, we'll see in good time.

Let's hope it is.

Fair do’s. Didn’t know that side of it & previous convictions. 

Reality is that trying to disrupt vehicles travelling 70mph could cause a horrific accident. And I’m sure the judge was looking at that as well.

That is wrong. Renewables produced enough power last year to have used no oil or gas at all. The issue is storage for peak times not overall output.

How can it be? Surely the material used (like Uranium and Plutonium) have finite resources, and once they home, they're gone. Granted it works take a long time, but they aren't "renewing"

It’s classed as clean energy.

Because the emissions are virtually zero and raw materials needed are a huge amount lower.

Fission and fire are very different.
