Talking to yourself is a new one 😁

Would or have you taken part in one of those demonstrations (welcoming parties as you put it)

If so then I think yes you should put up or shut up. Which was my point

If not ... then no.

If you want a silly comparison like cheese gave ... Would you take part in vegan demo blocking the meat counter in Tesco ... Then go for a Burger in McDonald's.

Haha. Was even arguing with myself 😁

I wouldn’t take part in one of those demonstrations. But I certainly don’t think those that do should ‘put up a refugee or shut up’. It’s a nonsense statement.

Like saying those protesting against immigration should go out and stop it themselves.

Tax paying people are allowed to voice an opinion about how the government spends their taxes.

That’s democracy mate.

Metropole plus at least 3 other hotels in this one particular area.

One block of flats filled with them at 5am to avoid the public eye. Home office officials present. I'm stood looking at them now.

Would you be happy about a premises in your street being used as a HMO to house them?

That's a no then. Whilst moving the goalposts again.

Lovely stuff.

Of course they are.

If only there was a opt out option. I wonder how many tax payers would still contribute.

Lovely stuff.

So there's no residents in those areas?

One block I mentioned was residential. Now it's a hmo filled with Asylum seekers. Next door is a whole street of residential housing.

So again I ask. Would you be ok with an asylum centre or have asylum seekers in large numbers put on to your street?

Yes or no will suffice.

It's not hard this.

He wouldn’t.

Nobody in their right mind would.

As good as those people may be, loads of them living at the end of your street will devalue your property in a heartbeat.

Its an inconvenient truth.

If they’re allowed to voice an opinion then why are you calling for them to be silenced because they can’t accommodate an asylum seeker?

Good question though. I’d be surprised if it was any more than 30%. But if we started opt in & out boxes for tax the country would fall apart 😄

Either way the accommodation system is broken. Good to see Labour have committed to ending hotels & increasing processing centres. For all the issues with numbers increasing, they are making other positive steps in the right direction & processing & deporting more.

It can never be underestimated the damage the Tories caused by deliberately allowing the backlog to build up.

If the situation gets worse under Labour though, then I expect Reform to get in.

I also think that sadly it will just become more militarised. The climate crisis will start to hit heavy over the next decade & numbers will only increase. Countries will have no choice but to be more militant in their control of borders.

But we’ll always need some Immigrants 🙂

What were we arguing about again ?

If you insist on completely avoiding any nuance or expanding the conversation, then yes, I would be ok with it. That doesn't mean I "like" it, or am "happy" with it. There's a hotel not very far from me that has been used to house Asylum seekers for over 3 years now, and it's had no impact on my life whatsoever. Don't get me wrong, I want the use of hotels as Asylum Centres to end as soon as possible, but we are where we are, after 14 years of corruption and incompetence.

Anyway, now you'll accuse me of lying, which is why it was a ridiculous, pointless question from the very start.

Think you're thinking way too deep about a few dicks talking shite on a football forum.

You think people with genuine complaints, debates or concern are part of shift towards populism lead by some forces with ulterior motives.

You say people make judgements without knowledge when in fact you are so departed and up your own rectal passage you wouldn't know real life or real people's concerns or experiences if they slapped you in the face.

You haven't got a clue yet you attempt preside over mere mortals as if your some kind of font of all political knowledge because you've posted a few Labour flyers.

People not wanting 2k asylum seekers from Vietnam and Kurdistan isn't some lurch to the right driven by right wing extremists. It's just basic common sense.

I think to be fair NIC isn't up his own arse. Even if occasionally his posts come across this way. There will be folk on here who know him to be the opposite of what you think.

There are two sides to it. Folk have genuine concerns about many issues regarding asylum seekers and migrants. Those concerns are often dismissed as racist or 'thick' which of course doesn't help.

But there is another side that we're seeing a big shift to right wing populist parties because of immigration. These parties are causing a lot of damage with divisive polices, climate denial and incompetence.

Reform are full to brim of people who would be an absolute disaster for this country. Nothing wrong with being worried about that and wanting people to vote rationally.

Just following on from the last 2 parties I guess.

As for NIC, anyone who claims Islam isn’t spreading and then sit there and argue that’s he’s right is clearly not all there.

How ironic after your utter nonsense the other week re all Jewish ladies shaving their heads

Did you actually come back on and acknowledge you were wrong ?

I highly doubt it.

Now, do one

That's a polite way of putting it. :)

I reckon that somewhere there is a pedestal in the clouds, so high that those that are self proclaimed to such a lofty perch, can't actually see what reality is on the ground. Altitude sickness can affect the head.

 Course he's all there.

We're just people talking shite on a footy forum, often it's just a bit of release. Not everything we say is going to be right all the time. Doesn't make someone mentally unwell if they've said something wrong ffs 😆

You've spent hours on end bouncing back and forth in pointless arguments on here. Saying equally daft stuff. Don't pretend to be any better ❤️

You did just prove my initial point with your first response mate. Which is why I suggested you'd missed it.

Would you like to prove it even further by spending the next hour arguing back and forth like little babies whilst you call me porkie pie? All along you pretending you're speaking more sense than NIC does and questioning everyone else's mental capacity.

You're right mate. It's all politics - very rarely really religion. Even if that's the banner people choose to fight under.

I'm surprised nobody else picked up on it mate, especially after seeing your goodself on that quiz show
