Lord David Sainsbury is a big donor of Labour both under Blair and Starmer (he suspended backing in Corbyn's years).

The problem with Farage and other smaller mainly right leaning parties they obtain unconventional funding via Bitcoin that is not declared and is difficult to trace.

Isn't that the argument (if there is one)  -as a politician, all funding/donations should be accounted for. It's when nobody knows where they come from that it's a problem, and quite rightly. If you've got nothing to hide, then you should be able to publish all donations annually.

They have to. As do political parties. And you can see they all. Its pretty easy.

I've often thought they should wear their sponsors on their suits like snooker players.

How do other democracies go about things?

If they do win the next GE, I can't help but think it would be an utter car crash, as they just don't have the experience or staff, as they seem to be showing at County level

Plenty of water to flow under the bridge yet matey.

If the Conservatives continue to flounder in the polls, I think I have an idea where the 'experience and staff' may come from.

Polanski certainly has rattled the right wing press, with them all taking pops at him.

Much like Bolty's theory that abuse towards Nige and Reform strengthens their power the same is proving true for ZP and the Greens. The backlash against the traditional parties is proving to be a tricky one for the old guard.

The Greens are a joke mate. Led by a loon. May as well vote for Screaming Lord Sutch's party.

Have you seen the state of Keir Starmer's hair though?

It's what is under it which is the problem. The missus says 'he must be a bloody Libran'.

I don't doubt it, but I also have no doubt many of his fans will double down on their support for him, and claim it's all a conspiracy. In a similar way to how Trumps support base work. Like Trump, I suspect that Farage will be very Teflon like, no matter what's thrown at him

You are starting to get it. Well done.

Keep up the negative diatribe though please mate. Very much appreciated.

Sad to say I have my doubts these days…. Think there’s a real risk that self-serving chancers such as Farage backed by rich elites and malign overseas actors can manipulate public opinion through blatant lies and demonising sections of society as the source of all ills. I hope I’m wrong.

You have everything arse about son.

The rise of Reform is a direct result of a generally conservative country being completely let down by the party most natural to their aspirations. This and the abject monotonous failure of yet another bunch of incompetent reds which some of us have seen over and over again. They just can't help themselves in attacking those who can really make things tick. Good old Rachel will have to shaft you again in November because of her incompetence. De rigueur for the socialist aspiration killers.

Believe it or not I agree with you. I don’t think though it invalidates my post about the murky background behind Reform.

The country is crying out for a strong leader who can not only “do the right thing” ….. but also has principles, morals and standards and is committed to public service. I’m still looking.

It’s “we” when it’s about reform coming over a hill.

its “you” when tax goes up.

You're an Australian. Ultimately this all has fuck all to do with you.

I had to laugh when I saw that on the lunchtime news... reminded me of a mouse that the missus kept catching and putting out into the garden... she was convinced we had an epidemic until I pointed out it was the same one... in the end I drove 2 miles up the road and dumped him in a field.

Maybe we should dump these buggers a bit further away.

Do the traffickers have some sort of warranty? Free boat if you get sent back?

The worst blokes in charge at the worst time.

Still at least all their mates got loaded on the back of the carnage.
