I don't know the figures behind it, maybe millions is an exaggeration, but that's what he would have been referring to as it was a manifesto pledge

Not till September this year. Thats over two years the poor children have been starving since they came in. Year 1 and 2 have been getting them since 2014 in state schools. I think that was a Tory government that introduced it. I think that’s correct. Please check, I’m out and about.👍

You’re correct, Labour are increasing the number of eligible children later this year.

When they discussed launching the breakfast clubs different local authorities , teachers groups etc had different opinions on the best way to do it. So they set up 500 early adopter schools as a result of trying various options the next 750 schools were bought on line with the rest planned by March next year. 
I think at the time some people thought the 500 was all they were doing !!! 

They have prioritised schools with the highest % of free lunches so the poorest schools are being done. So it is all on schedule to be delivered as promised. 
 

I posted earlier in the thread that the Labour Party are making a dogs dinner (ironic !) of governing but this one thing they have got right. Ideally bought in quicker but the local authorities and teachers groups all supported a staggered roll out and getting it right rather than blowing it. 
 

There were plenty of people arguing against the schemes as it is ‘the parents job to feed their kids, why should I fund it’ and ‘ when I was a kid my mum and dad always gave us a breakfast and we did not have 2 buttons to rub together.’

Madness to think I want to be PM, I know I am not best person for the job but maybe I can sneak in. You must have to have a big enough ego to become an MP but to think you are the one to run the country must be of the scale ego or confidence.

12% of schools by the end of the year. That will be 2 and half years since they’ve been in power. There’s no way these starving kids are going to last that long. A quick look and AI and Google says it’s highly unlikely to be done in the said time frame.
