No threshold has been met

Yes it was.

The Times reporting that Streeting has told the PM he will challenge him tomorrow and will resign.

He has to have the backing of this threshold number in order to do it.

The panic has really set in. It will be amusing to see it reach a crescendo leading up to the next GE.

What a truly remarkable post his is.

I would hazard a guess that he voted Labour.

It has been an unmitigated disaster, so by that score he, and all the others who votes labour must be fucking thick.

The same thickos that Starmer et al have fucked over as much as anyone.

Yet, a party that isn’t even in power, let alone had a couple of years to show its hand and have effect is 100% guaranteed to fuck up its voters first, and the country next.

Not only was the buzz phrase "14 years of failure" created and utilzed by opposition parties, we now have 16 years of failure.

No one expected those 14 years to be rectified over night, but they also didn't expect it to be significantly worsened so quickly.

Nevertheless, the next incumbents will fuck it up.

I wish I had that crystal ball- I'd put some numbers on the lottery.

I would hazard a guess that he voted Labour.   -  nope, never in a million years

It has been an unmitigated disaster, so by that score he, and all the others who votes labour must be fucking thick. - I didn't vote Labour

- 100% agree, it'll soon be 20+ years of failure, no matter who takes over, certain parts of the country are fucked and pretty much in a death spiral. It'll take many years and cross party co-operation to even get close to fixing those areas.

No one expected those 14 years to be rectified over night, but they also didn't expect it to be significantly worsened so quickly. - agreed, I didn't for one minute think Labour would fix anything, but we did needed a change, as the Conservatives had given up

Nevertheless, the next incumbents will fuck it up. - they will, especially if it is Reform. I'd be more confident if they'd had a year or two in opposition. They have zero experience (other than Conservative cast offs), if you think they'll make everything great again, then fair enough. I wish I had your enthusiasm.

I wish I had that crystal ball- I'd put some numbers on the lottery. - you can buy a crystal ball off Amazon, if you really want one, it won't help you predict lottery numbers though, as they're random

I presume that was aimed at me, so some answers above...

See, I don't mind that at all.....although, early doors Trevor has put his cards on the table, so as soon as he's "caught" spending money on something frivolous, I'm sure people won't be holding back. I'd like to see more councils take this sort of approach, and save money where they can

Labour will have fucked it completely if Streeting gets the job. He's a proper grubby little shitebag

Yeah I'm not a fan. Although he's not afraid of taking decisive (if not necessarily wise) actions. Which seems to be what people want.

You'd think so, but Farage, like Trump seems to be 100% teflon. His supporters will just double down on the support, no matter what comes to light

yes, and will get even more ridiculous the longer Starmer clings on......then it'll reach ultimate silly season as and when a GE is called in a year or two

He's going to say "But the breakfast clubs are in school, so they're still going to school hungry" or something equally banal.

7-8% of schools now benefit from free breakfasts. So we can assume many are still going hungry then. Hardly the flex he was claiming really.
